The English Language is About To Change. Are You Ready For This?The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.
As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as 'Euro-English'.
In the first year, 's' will replace the soft 'c'. Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy.
The hard 'c' will be dropped in favour of 'k'. This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter.
There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome 'ph' will be replaced with 'f'. This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.
In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible.
Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.
Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent 'e' in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away.
By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing 'th' with 'z' and 'w'with 'v'.

with any floor screed..if you don't let it dry out naturally…you will have massive problems later…trust me….i get builders who want the finishing floor, laid earlier than recommended , to sign a disclaimer, to be honest, these days, i just walk away

he now gives the other girl a good seeing to about 6 times a day….bless him

i paid 1,600 pounds for my 27 inch iMac,, the qualities is 2nd to none…for my filming, its perfect
my little grudge is the keypad…i am on my 2nd one….i did have a breakdown with the iMac after using it for 2 years…i rang up apple, it was taken away next day and 5 days later returned with no cost to me at all
expensive for initial outlay..yes..worth it..yes..every penny
as i said..the key pad is not that good…my uppercase button seems to be playing up , so i can't use the pound sign

I don't normally do these political threads, but i am at a loss.
I can see this government has made progress at a big cost to most of us, and for many that would of hurt..
my concerns about UKIP are…they only seem strong in one area…there are many more subjects that need addressing.
and its members don't seem to be doing the party any good, just look at todays example…..
i am not saying the other parties are any better, but UKIP does need to sort out its policies and members
as it stands, i can't see my vote going to them…...

been trying to buy some land…. found a perfect lot 24 acres… take the 50 mile trip…yep perfect… only to find its been sold by another agent…Grrrrrrrrrr
find another…. has anyone put in any offers..No… ok..take the 39 mile trip…even better than the last one…. Offer goes in…then the reply….the vendor has refused your offer…not because of the money…he wants to see if the people (who haven't come yet) who buys the house wants the land..

Would love to be a smallholder but its an unrealistic pipe dream in this country at least. The wifes Polish and I have been tempted to go there and give it a go as she wouldnt mind it either.
Its not impossible..its just hard work getting there…i am on that road at the moment…more knock backs than an a boxer… but you have a dream, you live only once…chase it

dad used to come home from work…the 1st thing he did was polish his shoes…for the next day..he would then change and put on a smart shirt and trousers…. then go into the garden for 1 hour and dig..plant and do the general up keep

I am in two minds… on a personal level… i would ban them, but a few years ago, my neighbours lost their son in Afghanistan …..for what ever reason, they had a moment on the beach..setting off loads of these lanterns….
me being a kayak fisherman, has a weird thing about weather ….
i knew it was a northerly wind and the things would be flying out to sea…so i pre warned the coastguard
the lanterns floating off was a beautiful site..and the neighbours, seemed to get something out of it..almost like a goodbye to their son ..
but i do understand the negative view on them

a while back, i told you a friend started a charity to take injured service personal out on kayaks for a days fishing, well the charity is doing well with some great results...

what a great and lovely idea,
we are just buying 20 acres down in cornwall, and will be adding some new hedges and trees…so if you have any left, i would be more than happy to keep this tradition going,
we are in devon at the moment
