  1. I did want something about 30lbs/ft so I will probably go with what Roblade says and get shut and source a Rapid when I get my FAC. I will probably go for a Rimfire at some point in the future. Quite content using me mates for now. Thanks again.
  2. Good advice but how much can I expect from the Superten? I need to decide now wether it is best to get a Rapid or stick with my Superten. If it can only go to about 17lbs/ft then I might aswell get shut and get a Rapid, etc. I will be applying for me FAC in the new year.
  3. Short term, no. You can buy a special propshat tool, again, from www.difflock.com (shameless plug!) Go to their online store and type propshaft tool into the searchy thing. HTH
  4. Hello, does anyone know how much a Superten can be taken to? I have been trying to sell the gun but have only been insulted with the few offers that I have had! I like the gun and plan to apply for an FAC after my shotgun licence (currently going through). It seems that other PCP's like Rapids and AA S410's can be reliably taken to 30lbs/ft in .22 form, what about BSA S10's? What is the best power to tune these guns to and then what is the best pellet for that power? I will exclusively be lamping Rabbits.
  5. With no pipe on the pump it does have a bit of resistance and also some 'lag'. By that I mean when you push the handle down it does not vent straight away. You have got me thinking now! I'm off to me shed to get some tools and strip it.
  6. A couple of months ago my pipe broke due to being kinked. I got another pipe from a local shop but it is a lot thicker. The problem is that when I try to recharge the bottle on my BSA S10 it only gets to about 100 Bar. Then the gauge drops when you lift the pump and then increases when you push down...but then the gauge drops again when you lift again! All in all never getting above 100 Bar. The bloke from the shop was completely uninterested when I rang to complain, saying that the pipe was correct for the job. I don't think it will go down well on here if I named the shop due to lible actions. The original pipe was about 5mm O/D, this pipe is about 13mm. I could not find a website for RWS...is it possible to buy new pipes?
  7. Hi, Pavman. What engine is in yer landy? 200 and 300 Tdi's will run quite happily without a viscous fan...not sure about towing, though. If you go to www.difflock.com and look in their online store you will find a spanner specially designed for viscous fan removal. They are about a fiver. If you live anywhere near Cannock you can borrow mine.
  8. Hi, I have a tax exempt LR Series 3 109" station wagon. It may be a bit big for you. It will need work but I will let it go for 650 quid. A friend uses his for lamping as he has fitted three big removable sun roofs! Mike.
  9. I am selling my .22 Superten MKll PCP, it comes with Simmons 3-9x50 Deerfield scope, 2xmags, slings/swivels, fleece slip and RWS styrup pump. It has shot about 100-150 pellets and is in VGC. I will swap for a Police approved gun cabinet and any pigeon shooting bits; nets, magnets, deeks, gun bags...anything. Outright cash price is 450 quid. Mike.
  10. Thanks for that, chaps. I have been shooting for the last 3 years on a friends licence but he has been pushing me to get my own kit. It all works out right because I fix his Land Rover and he sees me right with pigeon shooting and lamping (Rimfire) I am building a magnet and have already bought some decoys plus I have a load of gear from owning my Superten. I plan to approach the gamekeeper of the land next to where I work as there is **** loads of pigeons there, trouble is it is set aside land - no crops. How do I know which is a Police approved gun cabinet?? Mike.
  11. Good morning, you should be aware that there is a guy who lives in Solihull who will sell you springs and shims for Supertens that will, in effect, take the rifle over the legal limit...he does not ask for you FAC. JD something, I will try to find out and let you know. I, too have had the Police called on me by some anti/idiot who could not abide me and a friend shooting legal quarry on land assigned to us. The copper was not very impressed with the anti who had called as they said we were shooting trains! Upshot was he said to keep at it and don't worry, they will either stop or be cautioned for wasting Police time. Mike.
  12. Hi, chaps. Just about to fill in me Firearms form 103, from Staffordshire Police. Any tips? Some have said to put that I want the gun for clay pigeon shooting but I don't and have reservations about telling porkies, pardon the pun! Thanks in advance for any help. Mike.
  13. Hi, just registered. I downloaded the shotgun licence from a Police website today and noticed in the search that it said that air rifles with their own air cartidges will soon be illegal. I assumed this to be the likes of Brocock or CO2 powered rifles but could not find out if it meant precharged pneumatics aswell. Anyone shed some light on this.
