  1. Hi everyone I have been asked a question I cannot answer so figured I'd come to you all after getting no where with the deer Scotland act. I have a client that loves deer stalking and has done it for years but can no longer go the distance required. He wanted to know if he parks his vehicle with the engine stopped can he shoot.?? ( kinda makes it a high seat without the high i Guess...lol) The deer Scotland act states moving vehicle..and if it's stopped and engine is stopped then it is not moving... But as I'm not 100% sure I wanted to throw it out there. Thanks all.
  2. Hi Guys thanks for all the info!! What calibre do you think would be the easiest to find non toxic for?? .270? i ask as it looks like i'm getting a new rifle
  3. Hi does anyone know where I can get 100 grain non toxic bullets for my .243 as Ive looked everywhere I'm based in Scotland.
  4. I would advise joining your local gun club. Also set up a facebook page called Shooting (Your town name) as it will come up if any locals type shooting into Facebook. I like shooting alone with my dogs love working with them. they are one of the reasons I love the sport so much!! I'm sure some on this forum would state, if you got your dog your never alone!! Clay shooting is easy to meet others go to one of there competitions a lot of them will be teams of 6 and you will be surprised how many turn up alone and make a team. Wish you the best of luck and I hope it works out. Whatever you do don't give up anything you love especially for something so easily sorted out
  5. Hi there, I'm looking for people who would be interested in some end of season shooting in North and East Scotland. Pro shot now work with 35 estates to buy and sell shooting and we want to offer people the chance to grab a bargain at the end of the season. We will be offering goose flights, Driven and walked up Pheasant and partridge, and also Wild duck flights all at a much reduced cost compared to early and mid season prices. If this would interest you please head over to the Pro Shot website and sign up. Your name will be added to the list to contact as these days become available. we will send out emails about all the end of season days once we have them finalized This is only for the members of pigeon watch forums. Thanks Oz

  9. Also just to let anyone local to the Montrose basin know permits are now available. £16.20 for the season. just wanted to put this up as the council like to keep it quiet.. unfortunately you must live within 15 miles of the Montrose basin to get a season permit however there are day permits also for visitors. here is a link to the angus council website. http://www.angus.gov.uk/services/view_service_detail.cfm?serviceid=1246
  10. Hi everyone I just wanted to put a little post in here to let everyone know we still have some walked up and driven days left in Angus Scotland, on a wide range of estates. walked up prices from £200 per gun. Driven days from £29 per bird. Goose shooting over decoys from £95 per flight. wild duck shooting from £85 per evening flight. I also noticed people posting when pigeons arrive on their ground so I will add to this post as soon as our pigeons arrive. As the forum rules state I will not leave my contact info on here but I will check back regular and if anyone is interested send me a message. Owen
