  1. Thanks Mike, food for thought as always. If the Fourtrack had a FSH, then there would be no problem but it hasnt. The dealer originally offered it as a 'Trade Sale' ie no warranty and I declined but he is now offering 3 months warranty

dealers warrantys arnt usually worth the paper there written on!!

it usually states if a party fails due to wear and tear its not coverd if it brakes it is. so if the alternator dies for example it will be classed as wear and tear NOT COVERD if the alternator belt snaps they usually say somthing like the alternators worn out and damaged the belt!! and if you read the small print it can cover parts not labour but you have to pay the garage to repair it (AT OVER THE TOP PRICES) or the warranty is void!! or in some cases there is a maximum claim amount usually worth jack **** !

if you are set on buying the fourtrak pay the RAC £85 to check the vehicle over and ask for a discount and no warranty if the RAC find anything wrong with it re negotiate the price NEVER NEVER TRUST A CAR DEALER THEY KNOW ALL THE LOOP HOLES OF THE MOTOR TRADE THEY ARE PROBALLY THE WORST PEOPLE TO BUY A CAR FROM!!!

  2. i had a similar thing with fishing i went to the bank and asked for a home improvment loan to finance the divorce now i buy what i want when i want its great.

mind you the new girlfriend moans a lot but i can send her home if she gets on my nerves lol

  3. has anybody ever cut a stock down i have finally got hold of an old .410 for my son but the stock is too big i want to cut it down to suit him what type of saw should i use as i think a normal wood saw will spinter as i use it im drawn to useing a hack saw as it has small teeth and possibly will give a smoother cut its not made from rose wood or anything like that it looks like pine the value loss dosent matter as the gun was only £40 i just want to get a gun that fits any sugestions guys ??

  4. i had a lwb landy years ago,the drive was like sliding down stairs on my bum,the comfort was like a deck chair in a carry on film, the heating was like a good day at iceland, the noise was like a million bee,s buzzy around my head so thinking back with great fondness of my early days ive decided to keep my jap 4x4 like all my other jap cars itsgot heating smooth ride comfort styling finness and yes it has pulled a landy out of the mud

  5. Was it below HWMOST or over a wetland??

If it was below HWMOST,then you are in the wrong as to shoot there you can only shoot duck, geese or waders. You have to be the landowner or his "authorised person" to shoot a pest on or over his land but as I believe the foreshore is crown and therefore you cannot be either of the above.

we were all shooting just behind the sea wall above the low water mark

  6. dont know what type of gull it was no one who was shooting says they shot 1 just the twitcher hiding in the woods says 1 was shot i was using bismouth rounds as far as im aware everone else was using steel shot just this twitcher saying somone shot 1 and he recons he found an empty lead cart now the land owner has taken the keys away from the guy who had permission

  7. on a recent wildfowl outing somone has been accused of shooting a seagull with lead so we are trying to find out if this is breaking any laws the land owner has had a coplaint from a twitcher who wasd hiding in the bushes somewhere even though he was trespassing on pvt land ,

so were tryinhg to find out if he can pursue things against us

  8. the biggest bag ive had in one night with an air rifle is 37 rabbits unfortunatly where i shot these is on foulness island its a MOD site and no cameras are allowed but saying that ive never took pics of any of my bags

  9. fisherman mike now theres an idea take a sheep with me just think of the advantages 1st could keep me warm.2nd if theres no birds about i could knit a wookly scarf.3rd could teach it to retrieve be the 1st hunting sheep ever.4th if it all got that bad i could roast it as lamb always tastes better than pigeon.

god i dont know why i didnt think of it before :):P:lol:
