  1. I noticed a stand at the show where it was basicaly a auctioneers selling their old (1 year old) auction magazines. I cant remember who it was but i think the price was about a fiver. Now my question is, Why would you buy a auction book "advertising" their auctions which have already passed? I may be missing the obvious but please enlighten me. Also i noticed lastyear they were doing the same???

  2. I have a nickel version of the umerex beretta co2 92fs and was wondering what these are going for second hand these days? It has a slight scuff to the hammer and a slight scuff to the trigger guard. I originaly got it for IPAS but havent got into it. Im not looking for offers atm as depending on the price i may keep it.

  3. No matter how finer tolorances in theory they cannot be identical. For all intensive purposes lets say they are "identical". You shoot one gun at a left to right crosser. You then pick up the other gun, by this time you have had practice at one target and obv fired one shot. You fire the second gun and miss. The target was in a slightly different position, the wind got up, your feet werent in the same place so wasnt balanced aswel, you caught the stock on your coat, you closed one eye. Its easy to see why people think different guns shoot differently in comparison tests. I think most of it tho is down to the shooter. If you shot one gun, then shot it again without being told its the same gun im sure you could come up with "differences" even tho its the same gun!

  4. Just fitted a second hand (2007) 'cullingham water softner, came to commision it and its come up with an error code and keeps running pushing water out of the black valve on the side of the unit overflowing into the integral gutter filling up the salt reseviour.

Have reset it twice to no avail and it just keeps filling till it overflows back into the unit slowly filling it,the motor cog is turning.

I have an instruction manual but no exploded view to repair.

Does anyone know how to rectify this fault :hmm:

    model?

  5. I cut mine into little pieces everytime i dont need them, hide them on the four corners of the globe and then if i need them i simply weld them back together or use no more nails, i used to have a cooking cutter in the shape of my keys that way if i needed them id simply make a cookie and use that. Their are many different methods but i find choc-chip doesnt work that good. Too many lumps.

  6. da fing iz dat if its summin ya expec 2 c den itz ezee to see innit. If ya put in summin n dont phrase it like a gud un then it aint gna mek much sense, in ova words it aint bout readin it itz more lik readin n gettin wot it meanz.

  7. How about a promise of going somewhere special i.e. where you first met etc etc. buy something small what relates you to where that place is etc. Unless you met in prison/ while working as a drain cleaner/ in some form of emergency situation on a life raft etc.

  8. i see someone mentioned about keeping people ready for work.

how about opening the job centeres at 5am until 7am in the morning? anyone in line can stay, anyone after the 7am deadline can get stuffed. Im sure most people on here who work have to be up and ready at these times.

i think people who cannot work because of a genuine disability shouldnt be touched. However those who are claiming disablement flasley should be .........

the way these people are "graded" or whatever they call it needs looking at. For example someone who has lost a finger to lost a arm. (couldnt think of another comparison).

Back to the review tho i still think more needs to be done, this country needs more productivity, less office jobs, more exports etc. We need to produce more, rather than have people sat in offices twiddling their thumbs and not actualy generating anything. (this comment is not designed to pee any office worker off who does a genuine productive role).

  9. idealy one with them little round balls in and that flakey stuff what goes whoosh.

on a serious note it depends how high the birds are etc etc. Take a selection and see what other people are using on the day. even if it means buying the odd box od something you dont have im sure you will find a use somewhewre down the line

  10. Power factor correction for inductive loads is normaly smoothed out by use of capacitors. I suspect that when he is striking the lights are dimming then during normal welding the power is ok. You will find that most machinery has a big inrush current, even for things for lights etc but due to the low time that the volt drop incors it will still comply. On consumer units the breakers are rated for different loads and they will state possibly 3xrated current for a certain amount of time. what i am basicaly saying here is he may not be using equiptment which is overrated for the supply.

I am not the most technicaly up to date with pc's but as i understand the PSU's supply different voltages to verious parts of your hardware. Better PSU's may/probably will have filters before it is then transformed/rectified into the different voltages. These filters normaly are made up of capacitors amongst other components so i doubt that the power dip would effect these unless the power dip is for a significant period of time. So based on this i wouldnt suspect it would cause any issues in this respect.

As for your lighting cct. and the lights flickering/dimming maybe you could consider different type of light. Or if you could it may be worth trying another phase/splitting the load per room etc. Even tho his welder is three phase the most loaded phase will suffer the most. I.e. if you have all your sockets and lights providing power to equiptment on the same phase he has then it may be worth swapping these around.

Another option is look at the welder he is using, not nesseceraly the peak load it is taking from the cct. but more on the instantanious current it draws once striking. I believe older welders will draw this current instantainiously but newer equiptment will "ramp-up" to the full current required by the welder. This method will minimise the "dip" you are seeing.

Overall several options, without consulting a decent electrition and him doing a survey it isnt practical to tell you the most cost efficient method of getting the results you desire.

Btw sorry if most of this is as clear as mud.

  11. Basicaly, if you work, pay your way, dont claim benefits then your going to get screwed. As for helping unemployment and investing money into youth apprentaships etc i hope this money doesnt go on a government run scheme similar to what has been done in the past. This money would be better spent giving it to training organisations with records of employment who have shown that they are providing required skills.

Also does anyone get the feeling that rather than the government arguing about well i thought of that and i proposed that etc wouldnt this time be better spent making real desicions which benefit the country?

  12. Was you wearing your strobe light on top of your helmet? was you wearing your glow in the dark tights? these are all questions they will ask if you take it to small claims court. And dont forget to say: he was doing 100mph, doghnuts, wheelies and was drinking from a bottle of black label.

In all seriousness tho you will be asked about ppe high vis etc. on my site they make us wear high vis in the middle of the day, also we are not required to wear them in certain areas what could be classed as trucking routes :s
