  1. Have a look at a Browning 525 sporter before you commit. It's a fantastic piece of kit for the money and will give you years of reliability. Cheers
  2. I understand that one can have 26 shoots a year without the need for local authority planning permission. Does this just relate to an organised and/or commercial shoot? For example, if I have private land on which I can practice by myself/with a friend can I practice every week....obviouslt one has to be courteous to neighbours, I was thinking of say an hour on Saturday afternoon. Cheers.
  3. Thanks Phil, They seem to keep it quiet! I will hopefully give it a try, i'll still try find a telephone contact to find what time they shoot. Probably 10am as with most othere. Cheers, Steve
  4. Thanks Phil, There definitely is one and it will be closer for me than Todmoeden (when I find it). When I find it I will let you know. Cheers. PS if not I will have to give Tod a try - any good?
  5. Hi, Does anyone know the contact details for Cragg Vale clay pigeon shooting club near Halifax West Yorks. I know it's there but not where? Thanks
  6. Seems they are as rare as rocking horse s--t.!
  7. Hi, Good home offered to a auto clay trap to facilitate much needed practice. Age not an issue but needs to be in good health. Ideal would be a Promatic SuperHawk or similar. Dont need a carousel. 50clays+ is OK. If you have one within 50 miles of West Yorks please let me know, including price. Cheers
  8. According to the notes for table 2 it is only a record of guns solt to me. It does not record guns that I may sell. Therefore there is no record on my certificate regarding the gun I traded in to the shop. The shop filled in table 2 for both guns they sold me but added nothing on my cert regarding the gun they took back. They did give me a separate sheet that I sent to the police for the gun they took back but it is not recorded on me cert. It is not possible therefore from my cert alone to tell how many guns I have. The shop only records sales not purchases on my cert. I am not allowed to write on my cert... hence the lack of clarity. J
  9. Thanks apache. Thats crystal clear. What surprises me is that my certificate records all guns that I may buy but there is not a section to record annything that I sell so when I look at my licence it says I have more guns that I have. When I bought my gun it was faulty so returned to the shop. Got another one in its place. Both are recorded on my licence but I only have 1. Notification was sent to the police (recorded delivery) that the gun was "sold" back to the shop but this transaction is not recorded on my certificate. I guess thats the way it is; it just seems strange. J
  10. I agree that what you say is clear but I can't find anything that says who should fill in Table 1, and when. It must have a purpose? I've read the text on the licence many times but theres nothing about Table 1. J
  11. Thanks, What is the purpose of table 1 - who fills it in? J
  12. Hi, When I purchased my shotgun the shop filled in table 2 of my licence with the relevant detail. I forwarded the transfer note to thew police as instructed. Question. Do I now have to put the details onto table 2 of my licence ? If so, if I sell a gun do I cross it out from table 1? Thanks J
  13. It was from Malmo Lancaster. The"lefties" I tried had varying degrees of bend on the stock. The 525 I bought was just right for mehave varying degrees ospot on for me. Must admit the SP was the prettiest gun but that wont help me shoot well! I let my head make the decision, not my heart...
