  8. hi ive just started shooting crows with a shotgun and im getting really frustrated cos i keep missing easy shots that i wouldnt even think about if they were clays and im using a 12 bore with 6 shot 30 gram cartridges and cylinder/modified chokes in the barrels top/bottom.these shots by the way are walked up and are about 20-30 yards away.please could someone help me out to why im missing. thankyou
  9. hi im going hunting crows, rabbits and rats next week with my shotgun but the last time i went i noticed that all of the quarry i got shots at were within 25 yards (which is obviously close for a 12 bore) and im new to shotguns so i foung hitting them with 6 shot harder than hitting clays at that range so i was wondering if clay cartridges would be any good as i have lots of 7 1/2 , 30 gram 70mm cartriges that need used up as clay season has finished for me. any answeres will be helpful thanks.
  10. thats everything i needed to know chears mate
  11. now i know this sounds stupid but which way do i slide the barrel selector on my shotgun for which barrel? the gun is a 12 bore o/u browning medalist and the reason i asked this is because when i first used my gun as i only just got it,one of the instructors set it up with choke and set the barrel selector to left for me as he thought that left was under barrel ,but when i tried with snap caps it was tuther way arund is this a fault wit the gun or is it supost to be like this???
  12. just got a shotgun and was wondering when the season is for shooting clays because i wouldnt of thought they would shoot in winter because of the early nights.could anyone help me with this? thanks
  13. that is a good point but i would like a second opinion just to be sure
  14. the other thing is that when i fire with snap caps in will they damage the gun because the pins make a hell of a dint in the snap caps
