hi mate you can tell what your shooting at... the thermal is totally different to using night vision it does take a little bit of time to get used to it but it's brilliant when you do...the sight picture through the scope is better than the video.....cheers

Hi Dave that's one of the features it has its picture in picture you can have that or you can use the zoom function instead both options are very good when you are shooting at longer distances it makes it much easier mate...the Apex XD50 Thermal is a great bit of kit Dave...the only downside is the hefty price tag they carry mate but the are slowly coming down in price...cheers Dave
