My CZ .17 currently has an SAK moderator.It is not extremely loud but does make a health crack. Can anybody tell me if it is worth spending over £100 on an other make. Would a more expensive model greatly reduce the noise of the rifle. Any information would be welcome.

I have permission to shoot on a large farm in south Lanarkshire. I,ve seen almost no rabbits this year. I have been told that there has been an outbreak of rabbit hemorrhagic virus.

I have permission to shoot on a large farm in South Lanarkshire. Over the past 12 months there has been almost no rabbits. Warrens that used to be heavily populated are now empty. I sat out last night for about 2 hours and only saw one rabbit. Does anybody have any ideas about what may have happened. The land is not heavily shot over. I do not think that there has been a bad mexamatosis outbreak as I have not spotted any infected animals.I have read about a virus which is highly contagious and causes the rabbit to bleed to death. Perhaps this is the problem. Does anybody have any ideas.Has anybody heard of a virus affecting rabbits in central Scotland There is always plenty pigeons and crows on the land so all is not lost.
