I always had the understanding that you had to have a license to buy cartridges, but once they have been bought anyone can have them. Anyone have a definitive answer?

My dad has had a 02 TD4 freelander since new and has done 180k miles in it since then, its still going OK, needs a new injector at the moment (still on originals). Has not exactly had an easy life, servicing was never my dads priority! Only problems we had with it were brake master cylinder going, and had a couple of holes in the turbo pipes (not sure which ones). Picked up a Freelander 2 HSE yesterday so now I have inherited the old one . Hopefully will keep on going for a good few miles yet. Maybe we have been lucky with ours, but as people have already said, there must have be a reason why they were and still are the best sellers in their class. And they are much better off road than most people would have you believe.

Thanks for the replies everyone! Seems like a very friendly bunch on here! I am in a village called Naunton, near Bourton on the Water. SGC doesn't sound to promising! But I am a student so wont really be able to shoot until Easter anyway, but when Easter comes I will quickly go through what's left of my student loan on cartridges hopefully! I have been on a 'have a go day' at Cotswold CC, which is only 15 mins from my house, everyone there was very friendly and it had a nice atmosphere with the fire going in the club house. I may well take people up on their offers where my SGC finally arrives! Duncan

Hi! My name is Duncan, recently moved from Cambridge to Gloucestershire. Just joined the forum, but have been viewing it as a guest for a while. Not yet got a SGC but it is with the police ready to be dealt with, although from what I have read on here it seems I could be in for quite a wait! Been shooting a few times with friends and wanting to get into it properly, especially clay pigeon shooting as there seems to be a lot of grounds around my area.
