    Problem is it's trying to keep up with the jones's I got married 16 yrs ago nothing fancy 2.5k that's with 10 days in Turkey all in church no sitdown doo just all day buffet and **** up and we are still happily married.

    We have been to 20/30k weddings most are now divorced to to arguing over money.

    My sister is getting married in May and the costs are huge!

    Her and fiancée have a house, complete with kettle and toaster they can't afford a honeymoon after forking out. £10k for the wedding so are considering similar

    why spend 10k on other folk then and do without a honeymoon, if they can't afford it there obviously getting married above there means.

    I find this custom totally abhorant, and if anyone sent me a list of suggested presents that they would think i might like to contribute to they would get nowt.from Auntie.

    +1 we never had a list, if anyone wanted to buy us something it's upto them we never made a list or told anyone what to buy or ask for money, they still got buffet if they didn't buy us anything, although a pint paid on would have been enough.

    You get married because your committing to your love, no for a whip round...

    I no I don't come on here and add my 2 penneth much any more due to other members always wanting a confrontation or making a cheap easy argument,

    I still browse on here everyday,

    Had same situation with one of my cockers, first day out on her own with me. She was bounding along then next minute she's in a patch of brambles not coming out, moving or responding. On retrieving her she fitted, this was while I was carrying her back to the car. Got her to the vets and two days later got her back. Turned out her liver and kidneys are smaller than usual and she couldn't store enough glucose. That was four years ago. Ever since she has been fine. Pemmikin in her breakfast a few hours before we go and small pieces all day long, good as gold. Scarred the hell out of me.

    was the vet just saying this to justify the cost of having your dog 2 days or was there any proof X-rays etc.

    99.9% sure everyone is correct about sugar levels being the cause but has anything else changed in his routine recently.has he been on any anti biotics or meds? just a thought,my glp collapse on me late afternoon a few years ago after anti biotics in the morning.she had a funny reaction to them,cant use certain meds anymore

    Just for the record no meds etc had his booster 2 weeks previous just put it down to early breakfast and late lunch and good working.

    Dog is fed purina beta which agrees with him and always been 100% healthy apart from this time.

    We have Just bought a tourer after a 9 yr break due to getting broken into whilst on holiday which put us off as the children where only 1and 3 we where not in the caravan at the time but did put us off so decided to get a static, after owning this for several years and not really using it we sold it and just carried on with the tent and abroad.

    But after great breaks up the east coast with friends this yr we have decided to but a tourer for a few more creature comforts hope to be doing more of the gamefairs next yr.

    Just wondered if there was a population of p/w members that go caravanning.

    I no before the cynics start me my wife and 2 children have stopped 5* all inc and to be quite honest apart from the weather there is no finer place to wake up in a caravan whether it be the Lake District or Dorset.
