  1. Hi The other morning I was preparing to zero in my recently aquired .222. I was about to position my targets (6 inch square) onto a frame and low and behold a fox pops out of the hedge and eyeballs me for about 5 seconds then slowly trotted back into the hedge! my rifle was locked up in the shogun, so there I was stood in the middle of the field armed only with the deadly combination of two clothes pegs,a black magic marker pen and two pieces of cardboard.I am not a grand master in origamy and I have long since forgoten how to make a paper dart so how would all you budding SAS warriors have done? answers on a post card please! PS note to self BE PREPARED as bear grylse would say. cheers Hawkeye185
  2. Hi the first gun I shot belonging to my dad was a G E Lewis side by side twelve bore hammer jobbie that allmost broke my shoulder at the tender age of 12. my first kill was a milky doe and I still check the exact spot even after 40 years when I pass it I still have the gun and often wonder does it have any value apart from sentemental?

  6. Hi I have a brno fox mod 2 hornet (78) but immediately after the fox - mod .2 stamp there appears to be the letter k stamped into the metal it looks sort of genuine but isnt quite the same quality stamp as the others. Is there an obvious way for a novice to check if it has been adapted at a later date? if it has been done can i just carry on using winnie hornet ammo ? cheers hawkeye185.
  7. thanks to you both the link was clear enough for even a hairy bummed ,ham fisted builder like me to sort it out and now it is cycling like chris hoys on steroids ! all I need to do now is find a friendly fox to open my account. cheers hawkeye185
  8. Hi I have a brno fox hornet model 2 and I am having trouble with loading and ejecting rounds from the magazine. the mag is brand new but the round seems to be either to high or to low to enter the rifle, occasionally it goes in ok but it really is a hit and miss affair and not ideal in the field at night. the gun is clean as is the mag. any thoughts on the cause or a solution would be great, cheers in advance hawkeye185
  9. Hi I have a lightforce 140 mounted on my rifle powered by a lightweight deben 12v 14amp/hr battery wich is fine to use. as I only use it for a 2 or three hours max is there a way that I can increase the light output by sacrificing the unused amp hours without damaging the lamp or the battery ? would a higher wattage bulb achieve this ? many thanks in advance hawkeye185.
