  1. I am selling the wooden stock and fore end from my Mossberg 12g pump shotgun. These would make a great replacement for the synthetic parts on some models. The gun is only two months old and the condition of the parts is reflected in this. They are in very good condition with no scratches and no damage incurred during removal. The stock will be sold with the attaching internal bolt. I am asking £20 for the two items and the postage will be in the region of £10 (I will confirm the exact amount on sale) - collection acceptable. Please PM me with an offer or email neil@neilwebb.co.uk - please do not post replies here.
  2. You can't accelerate anything past the speed of light , but quantum theory allows something already travelling at the speed of light to be accelerated faster. Many scientists believe that time doesn't actually exist , it's just something we've invented to make our physics easier. Many believe time is just the position of something in an expanding universe. Because the framework of the universe is expanding at the speed of light it is this that stops anything travelling faster than light as it would reach and pass the edge of the universe eventually and nothing exists or can outside the universe.
  3. Agree with battery life comments , they're rubbish in that respect. The other issue is that they don't focus the beam to the narrow angle you need for lamping, so you're wasting light out to the sides.
  4. The current favourite theory is that because of the incredibly high energies involved, the neutrinos are somehow tunneling through extra dimensional space i.e. outside our three dimensions and bypassing our space where they travel more slowly. Some string theories predict 10 dimensions most of which are "curled" up at atomic level. It might be here that they are travelling. http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn21188-more-data-shows-neutrinos-still-faster-than-light.html
  5. Apologies for breaking forum rules, just thought a bargain might help somebody. Post suitably amended and they're now sold. Neil

    Hello

It's funny but a lot of anglers I know enjoy shooting as well , I guess it's the same kind of ethos really isn't it ? Sitting around for hours waiting for wildlife to appear As for Kayaking you do have to be a bit unhinged really eh ? Not quite so mainstream ! Neil
  8. "what about our mad yakking fraternity" Not having any luck off the Kayaks in Norfolk either ! Neil
  9. Likewise Sir , thanks again and looking forward to a test drive tomorrow ! Neil

  11. I'm selling my trusty Remington Nitro NPSS , 0.22 Air Rifle , having now gone down the PCP road. This is a beautifully machined rifle and is very well balanced , a nice easy gun to carry around the field. It has fired about 600 pellets and is about 6 months old and has been an excellent workhorse in that time. The sight came as standard with the rifle and is a Centre Point 3-9 x 40 AO It has a two position cheek plate, adjustable trigger and the body is a "mock carbon fibre" effect plastic. The metal work has a few blemishes where the blueing has flaked but otherwise is in mint condition and fires perfectly. This gun is powered by Remington's excellent nitrogen ram cylinder system and is much quieter than a standard springer and about the same sound level as an unsilenced PCP. It is a great compromise between the convenience of a springer and sound level of an unmoderated PCP. Asking price £200 ono Please PM me with any enquiries or offers (Location - central Norfolk) Thank you , Neil
