  1. Consider it a bonus if u can wangle one out of them full of money
  2. Aw cack, now you've thrown a spanner in the works, not even looked at that gun, gotta say looks awful nice! liking the large shot capacity also... Also heard good things, as you mention, about their customer service which is a BIG plus point in my decision making process. Why is life never straightforward?
  3. I must admit, since I don't get out as much as I should the Theoben's huge shot capacity is most tempting as when the opportunity to go out shooting does arise I don't half get through some pellets and the initial outlay for the S-type may mean buying me own charging kit might have to wait a while.. (get it charged at me local gun shop for the time being methinks) Being a complete noob when it comes to PCPs I was wondering about how well they hold their charge. Is it a common occurence for them to lose charge over time? Any comments by any owners about any aspect of either of these family of rifles much appreciated! Cheers.
  4. Hey everybody, Been on and off these forums reading for a couple of years and made much use of the collective knowledge on here, in fact you guys helped me pick my first rifle, a HW90K which i'm still shooting, love to death and will never part with so thanks! Anyway, I thought it high time I joined the PCP tribe after having a plink with a friends Rapid a few months ago and being thoroughly blown away by how much it upped my game with so little effort. I've been eyeballing a lot of rifles, reading umpteen reviews, checking prices, checking bbs', archives etc etc and i've arrived at two and would be interested in any info/opinion/rants/praise anyone has about these two to help me decide. The suspects are the Superten Mk3 carbine in .22 and the Theoben S-type in .22 I intend to be using whichever I end up with for pigeon/rabbits and also targets but would love to hear opinion on each and how/why you arrived at any verdict you may have. I'm a patient bloke and realise that i'm gonna be outlaying a lot more $$ if I go for the s-type, adding on a charging kit and decent scope etc but don't mind waiting for the next paycheck to get there so although price is an issue it also isn't if you get me. I'd rather make the right choice and be happy than wish i'd spent more in the first place and lust after something I didn't buy. I've heard great reports about the regulation and the trigger on the superten but can't seem to find any sort of concensus of opinion on the S-type. Any pointers on any aspects of these guns much appreciated, favourite features, crappy features, what's missing or rubbish etc. Good points for Superten for me so far are: Regulation Trigger Looks sexy Reputation for consistency of accuracy Company customer service rep' Carbine Bad points: Less shots per charge and stuck with 200cc bottle? due to being carbine Heard stories of mags being iffy (though think this is mainly in .177) ********************************************************** Good points for s-type are so far: Hell of a lot more shots per charge from the bottles Looks sexy It's a Theoben (though i'm no label queen) Accuracy Bad points: Customer service rep Price Cheers for any help, Jabberwocky.
