    Luke

  3. Starting out in Wildfowling this season. Joined Leicestershire Wildfowlers.

Didn't know if anyone around Leicester/leicestershire had any non-toxic cartridges that were gathering dust?

Guns chambered 3 inch so anything up to that.

Let me know if anyone's got any they want to get rid of, swap or sell!

    Thanks

    Luke

  4. Gents, no disrespect to Lee (he's a top bloke) BUT he was lead massively up the garden path, like the rest of us! Winnie sold the day as "all new drives". We have a day there October that was good, a November one that was poor, reason we took the day we did after the poor one was the promise of new drives.

    What a joke!!!

0, ZERO, NONE, new drives, horrifically low bag, lot of "foxes in drives" and empty feeders. Very poor customer service at the end. Winnie took all out money, Lee had to refund the guns part of the money. One guy with a range rover spent £50 on fuel driving between the drives alone!!!

Not recommended and that's without the story of poor Lee's dog!

  6. very well done buddy hope its the first of many for you as yds say being out at dawn its what makes stalking so great my favorite time of day :good::good:

Cheers Cocker3. I agree with you and YDS, an awesome time of day. Now I just need to find an excuse to be around at that time every day! The fact we were blessed with great weather seriously helped too!

  7. Well done luke, are you hooked? Quite a long shot for a first beast, good shooting. Good write up and pics :good:

    Hi Moor man.

Thanks, it really was a huge rush. Very different from shooting birds, a lot larger animal to kill but it was for cull purposes not for pure sport as with birds. But it was properly wild unlike reared birds. So mixed feelings about it, it was a hell of a lot of fun! Who am I kidding, I probably am as I am already looking at going back with Lee soon!

  8. Had an awesome weekend with Lee from Seeka hunting (http://www.seekahunting.com/) in Norfolk to try Roe Buck Stalking for the first time. I shoot shotguns normally but have been wanting to try this for a while so thought I would sign up to a beginners weekend.

Got to the lodges we were staying in on Saturday afternoon. Had a safety briefing and was talked through the .30-06 rifle I was using then headed out for the afternoon stalk.

Stopped on the way at some safe ground and tried the rifles, got some practice on some targets and checked the scopes.

The evening stalk was good fun, great scenery and loads of deer about but all were does, munties that were not safe shots or bucks that were too big for my first time or wallet!

The next morning I was more successful. Despite the 3am alarm!

Took a lovely buck from about 160 meters.

Great fun, awesome memories and a interesting introduction to stalking for a newbie.

    Thanks Lee.

  9. Hi Gents,

Just brought an old 16 bore SBS for some rough shooting.

Didn't know if anyone had any carts that they wanted to get rid of?

PM me with what you have and what you are after for them.

I am in Leicestershire but travel around the midlands a fair bit so could collect too.

    Thanks

    Luke

  10. Hi All. Had my shotgun certificate for ages and only ever had three guns, but maybe getting a fourth.

Is there a limit on how many you can have on a license?

When the officer did the interview and check she didn't mention anything and I can't see anything on my license to say there's a limit?

    Thanks for your help!

    Luke
