Would like to start of my saying thanks to every one that has helped me over the last month or so with many question on guns cartridges etc Went to my duck and geese flight sydicate Saturday and had a great day After getting stuck in traffic I finally made it just gone 6 people were already in the hotspot to were the geese and duck exit the lake so I quietly got my wanders on geared up and wondered on down further half way down I settled in the dig excitiling waiting as never done this before As it got like 8 mallard had lifted of and was coming directly at me I crouch safety of and at the last minute They swarved of to turn around and fine someone walking there dog at this time :( Half hour went by then I heard geese two Canada's took a wide burth and I thought why not bang and straight down the size 1 mammoths done the job another half hour later spotted two duck high flying in had a Pop and Second shot I dropped it my best duck I've shot great morning Later that night came back for night flight settler in the hot spot this time just settled and three duck went straight over but wasn't loaded . Heard a few shoots in the distance and around 30 real came shooting over high I called and called but fly past settled down and before I could sit they must on turned there noz on as they all came flying over the hedge about 20 yd seeing me and just didn't know what to do lol Then near the end light was fading heard some more honks got on the caller for around 15 Canada's to fly past dropping my first left and right on geese what a great way to start my season thanks everyone again

Sorry I'm in England and its on a bit of land between a river and lake so don't know what you call it A wash is marsh foreshore isn't it And I have steel shot 3s for the duck and 1s for the geese 5s was for the pigeons

Wonder if people can help The duck and geese sydicate I have join is some land between a river and lake shooting the wildfowling passing in and out once the flight is over I am aloud to have a bang at the pigeons as there's load on the land Will I have to use steel for this The land isn't very wide so there is a lot of water Not quiet sure of the rules on steel as my first year wildfowling thanks And if so what the cheapest sort of cartridge to use there high so what cheap 5s ?!!! Yes I'm gunna take a trip up to just cartridges It's amazes me that there charging £8-9 for 10 and everywhere else is £3-4

Ok so you think It will be fine coz I was thinking of selling and buying another gun that is but my al391 is excellent condition and a lovely gun so don't really want to get rid of it

Cook off as I said first off my guns doesn't have steel marks but people say it will be fine as old gun and ur telling me about hp and tht When u first said I can't use them in the urika did you been hp steel ??,

Really where abouts you from if you don't mind me asking every round me there £8-9 for 10 Wouldn't mind using them as there suppose to be really good but when I can get eley lightings 25 for around same price

Well mammoth in my local gunshop 3" 3 36gr are £8.95 for 10 And why can't they be used in the urika al391 thanks

Ya my chokes with the gun are steel proofed I have read loads of people saying they have shot anything I just would like to no what's the worst that could happen really Littlerob what do you think of the eley Lightings I'm from reading and can't fine any steel cartridges local apart from mammoths but there to expensive at a £1 a shot

Well I recently brought a beretta al391 urika And I can't see any steel proof marks etc I took it to a gun shop and he had a look at it and couldn't find any either But he said as its an old gun they didn't proof them and he would be happy to fire anything through it As doing some wildfowling this coming season want to know to you guys think is it safe to shot anything if not what would happen And what can I shoot through it for duck and geese thanks
