Certainties- There was weather, there was a wad restriction and Kegworth was the only CPSA reg ground in the midlands exercising such- Orston 102.
69 less entries than 7th Jan at Orston though .........

Kegworth ran its first Fiber Wad shoot of the year today, Cpsa is showing only 32 entries. Typically 100 would be seen. This is very bad news.
Think the forecast storm may have put many off that one !

Maybe feeding on GM seeds !

Think they`re missing a trick with no swb model but I think their biggest was abandoning British manufacture in the 1st place.

Don`t think you`re right ,there are lots of farmers who would rather have their Isuzu trooper/Daihatsu Fourtrack /Defender commercials etc,as they were capable and compact/manoverable whilst still good towing machines. The current bloated pickups are not handy for many peoples uses.

Quite a view !!!

Unfortunately as we all know, theyre making vehicles for people who mostly will never use them for the supposed purpose the things were made for and subsequently diluting the product...even the useful Dacia Duster is now being sanitised for the road biased market, and look what happened to Skoda 4x4`s after the Yeti.....

Remember them having some interesting guns etc , sort of gunshop that was worth visiting !!!
-
Thanks, that`s the name I was trying to recall !!!!
-
Can anyone remember the name of the gunshop that was above one of the shops in the centre of Eastriggs ,possibly the Post Office ????
We used to call thewre on Solway expeditions many years ago.
Thanks.

No problem ......... although in fact now, AyA have much reduced their range - all the 'lower end' stuff has gone (Yeoman and No 3 and No 4 boxlocks) - I believe they only offer two boxlocks, the Best Quality Boxlock (£13,500 list price) and 4/53 (which now has an eye watering list price of almost £11,000).
Not sure how much the volume of sales has declined but with the cheapest boxlock at almost £11K and a No 2 at over £13K and a No 1 nudging at £27K (list prices inclusive of VAT) - I can't believe sales are huge. I do wonder if they are actually doing OK at those prices.
The guns themselves are were nicely made as priced originally ............ but my No 1 I would be disappointed in if I'd paid £27K (I paid around 12% of that second hand).
I would think that they`re slowly dying the death of many gunmakers before them . Who is buying their product ? Very, very few here and from what I`ve read, similar in the USA . Sad but irreversible I`d think.

Extreme actions bring about extreme reactions and we`re now seeing the reaction across Europe by the look of it and it will probably not be a good thing for anyone .
So pleased we have sort of left. The EU .

Has to be one of the better `own goals` that the Euro gang have ever pulled off ,talk about actions speaking louder than words .As you say it could not have happened in a better location to expose the depths that they plumb......wonderful.
