  1. I got one of these when I got my X-Bolt. Very Good build quality. Here is a link. http://www.tier-one.eu/picatinny-rails.html.
  2. The ends of the barrels are pape thin, and I've just noticed the hinge block is loose as well. I think deactivation is the way ahead. At least I can do the engineering work myself
  3. Thanks for the reply. Tried a 12 bore cartridge and it does fit. The gun was proved for blackpowder and in the state it is in, it wouldn't pass reproof in blackpowder or nitro. So I think the only option is to deactivate it. I could do the work myself and submit it through my RFD for reproofing. It's a shame to chop it but I think its the only way to go.
  4. Ive got the chance to get hold of an old 13 bore shotgun. The proofmarks according to Birmingham proof house were from 1855 - 1875. I was wondering would this be classed as an antique , as the home office guidelines mention nothing about 13 bore. Do the cartridges even exist for them any more? The gun couldn't be fired as the barrels are badly pitted and the damascus barrels need polishing so it would purely be a wallhanger. Any advice appreciated

    blood donors

Donated twice , then got tested for platelets. Got the go ahead so I have to have a lookaround the centre then book appointment. Should have done it years ago but being overseas with the army , it wasn't so easy.
  6. Been shooting for nearly 30 years now with only a couple of years off during my time in the army. Got back into it in Germany shooting everything from pigeon/crow up to deer and wild boar. Not been out much since finishing my 22 years service in Aug 2010. Not for the want of trying. Settled in my home area of South East Northumberland.

  7. Yet another opportunity missed due to having to look after the Bairn, I'll get out sooner or later. Hope you have a great day and the weather is good to you
