  1. Looks like I'm going to her land checked as got friend with rifle who's offered. i forgot to mention though this was many years ago when it was actully leagle to hunt with hounds that i killed a fox with a knife as i was only acting responsable and finishing the job in the most humane way possible at the time
  2. Dog went after a 2nd fox and hadn't killed 1st fox outright. I only had a knife on me at time so rather let it die a slow death it died in about 1min of me arriving I dont like to see a slow death quicker the better imo.
  3. thanks for the reply . i have been told they are very easy to bait in as they try through the day and the night when all chooks locked up they try digging in they have 1 that comes to the patio window so from her advise there easy to get them to come in on almost clockwork basis. i only shot ferals and rats with air gun. and i would not hesatate to shoot a fox at close range . i have only slit a foxes throat and cut a few brushes off as i go lamping with a friend who got 2 lurchers. had a few foxes with them dogs . well im going up the gun shop tomorrow to get some carts so see how it goes .
  4. ok i just been asked well i offered to shoot some foxes for someone looking for help. il be using a 12 bore. what would the best shot to use on them? i only recently got my licence but been shooting clays for a while so any advise would be great. info i have so far is there is between 5-7 foxes couple big dog foxes a big dog fox is being seen daylight hours every day the ladies problem is that her barn burnt down in feb this year and her pigs are due to start farrowing in the open arks from next week. last year they took new born piglets from the arks and she moved them to the barn which was safer. now she got no barn she is worried so i been in contact and saying i will help if i can . so any tips and advise would be great. im also going to tackle her rat problem aswell i want my terrier to start on rats so will be a good job for her and a few trips with the air gun. cheers in advance matty

  9. i have been wanting a gun for years i have been shooting with a friend when i could afford it for 18 mths now. my brother gained his SGC about 8 mths bk. as he is a sgt major in the military i gained my certs through him paying for me as he got a good rate through the cpsa who he joined me up with in january just gone. i then done my certs with the defence academy in feb. so im fully insured gained the skills i could with the help i could. i got laid off from van driving work in aug last year and since then i have been signed on and only get my stamp paid i get no money what so ever other than my house and council tax is part paid. my partner works part time in a hotel on min wage. with our 2 kids all im doing is putting them 1st by trying to get a job as fast as possible. i get odd days of work which i have yet still to be paid for.i try my best but get shot down. i have cut back on tv phone and internet so need to go down my parents house to go online. i gained the certs so it would offer me another job prospect my either running my own range or working for a club as of yet the local club took on in dec last year so have no job as of yet but are willing to call me if they get busy during summer.
