Are they still for sale please.

Hi Have you still got the 3/8 choke for sale, and if so, is it ok to use with steel shot.

It will be the vac pump behind the front bumper on drivers side, common problem. I have a 05 2.0td and had exactly the same problem. Had a new one fitted at local Suzuki dealers under warranty. Price was £400+. Ridiculous price for a little pump. If it had not been under warranty I would of repaired it myself. The problem is there are two pistons in the pump that seal onto two rubber O rings. The end of the pistons become a bit rusty and don't seal properly on seals. All it needs is a bit if fine emery, and maybe new O rings. If you do a search on google there is a step by step guide in how to fix it. You can still drive car in 2 wheel mode with the pump removed while you work on it.

Finished at last. Put five coats of tru-oil on and then some tru-oil stock sheen and conditioner on to take the edge off the high gloss shine. Now will have to try and get out at the weekend to zero in depending on the weather .

I am in the process of finishing my stock. Have put four coats of tru oil onto it but was just wondering how many coats any of you put on your stocks ?, where do you stop.
-
Thanks for your reply stu, I will keep your tips in mind when I come to finish the stock.

That looks great Ricky, is it the electric blue laminate ?. What moderator is that you have on.

Managed to get a few hours in on the stock today. I think I could turn my hand to being a robber now, as they would not be able to trace me by my finger prints, I haven't got any left after all the sanding, absolute **** job especially with a stinking hangover. Just a question for Stu, my stock has some red marks in it here and there, looks like rust colour, has yours ?. Still some sanding left to do. When I put the tru oil on, if I find that I want a matt finish later on, can I just rub it over with wire wool. A couple of pictures of the red marks.

Thanks for your comments lads, a bit work left yet. Going to thin the fore end down, I like it the way it is but it is still to heavy. Haven't got a lot of time at the minute, and going on holiday in a week, so it might have to wait a bit,

Here is a couple of pictures of my stock progress so far.

Thanks for your reply and the tips Stu, I have the action in and have floated the barrel which was the worst job in my opinion, action in then out, then in and out a load more times, good job I have the allen head action screws or I think the normal screw head ones would be mashed by now. Just more shaping and sanding left

Hi Stuart, must say you have done a great job with the stock. I have recieved my stock this week for my CZ .17HMR Varmint, 20 week wait . Was not stung by customs, so cost me £120. The stock was a bit rough, but not as rough as I was expecting, just a little work needed to get action to fit and open up barrel channel. Could I ask you a few questions on the finish you used on your stock. Did you buy a complete tru-oil re-finishing kit, which contains some walnut stain that would be surplus, or did you just buy some tru-oil on its own. Did you use any stock sealer + filler first. Also would a 3oz bottle of oil be enough to do the stock, or would the 8oz be better. Sorry for all the questions, but I have not finished a stock before, thanks, Neil.
