  1. Have sent you a pm lamperjohn. thanks
  2. Thats a great pic that I think I shall now have that as a screen saver on my phone
  3. I feel its about time I said hello. I have asked a few questions and been gifted some great replys, seems a top friendly forum. Im Craig im 30 and from Leicester. I have played with air rifles since I was a kid but havnt had one since I sold my old webley about 7 years ago. Until I dug an old noddy one out from the back of my old mans shed. Anyhow I went beating with a friend from my local sports and social club the last day of the season this year, and I had a brilliant day out. Good long walk in nice scenery, lunch a brace of pheasants and £15, well that was me hooked. As much as I love summer I cant wait till september gets here. So it got me trawling a lot of websites for more info basc, nobs etc. and I came across here as I was looking for info on rabbiting, I love rabbit and pigeon to eat but always buy from off the market. So now I am going to get some practice in on targets and when I am upto scratch (and with decent rifle) Ill walk to the farms round my way and see if I can get some permission to off a few. Cant wait fot that game paella cooked with my own catch. Also I am a keen fisherman, have been out today with my mate and gave him a beating. We fished bread on the top with controler floats I had four fish he had three, only went for a couple of hours but was lovely in the sun I have some cracking panda eyes to prove. Anyhow I shall leave you all in peace (have had a few beers sorry) and thanks everyone. Craig.
  4. If it is accurate and the power is 10ftlbs+ then why not use it for rabbitting? Good point, I suppose it would mean finding a silencer to fit and getting a scope which I was going to do anyhow. It dont half make a crack tho. But I would only want one rabbit at a time for now just for myself to eat so as long as I kill first shot and dont miss and scare them all away lol
  5. Its a 1.77 cleaned the stock yesterday sanded and oiled it as it was pretty grubby, shall do the metal work when I get a kit to clean it up. Now to just find where I put the old paper targets.
  6. Thanks for the replys all, Very helpful. I belive it is a relum 422 looking at the link that Graham M posted it matches up. Doubt its any good for rabbiting it makes an awful crack when fired although it seems fairly accurate. Best get some practice with that then whilst I save for a decent rabbiter. Thanks again, Craig.
  7. An old gun found in the shed its one my dad bought around 16 years ago. Taken the stock off cleand sanded and oiled. What can I do to the metal work? Thanks, Craig.

  9. Hello all, I am looking to get an air rifle set up. I have so much fishing tackle and can not really stretch my funds to buying one, so I thought I would see if anyone is interested in a swap. I am looking for a set up to take a few rabbits with. I already know a couple of fields that would give me permission to off a few. What I have to offer is two new Korum neoteric quiver rods (quiver top 3 quivers 2 4 & 6oz and a 1.75lb avon top) these are lovely barbel rods cost me £110 each. And two shimano 5000gte-b baitrunners, the dogs danglies of reels. Boxed spare spools one spool on each loaded with quality 8lb line. These cost me £70 a piece. So £360 worth of top kit. These rods and reels have only been used once and all is in as new condition. Thanks for looking, and if there seems to be any interest I would be glad to put some pictures up, btw I live in Leicester.
