  5. Hi , thinking about it I dont hold it very tight against my shoulder, I'll try that ,but the butt sits in between my shoulder and shoulder blade, looks like the other side of the comb is bashing on my bicep :look:
  6. Hi alI i'm still new to clay shooting , I'm waiting for my licence to drop through the door soon ,, anyway I've been shooting clays at my club for a month now and every time I come home after a days shoot I've got a bruised bicep is it because I'm using the club gun so it doesn't fit me well or because I'm not mounting my gun properly??? Any ideas
  7. I called my insurance company up and they would insure guns in contents insurance , but don't forget there are insurance excess to pay first before they pay out, maybe 2 to 400 pound depending on your insurer. But I spoke o BASC and it's about £60. Per £1000.00 of firearm with no excess

  10. Yes I went to malmo guns the other week, great bunch of people gret help they were, I'm waiting to try there 725 demo gun when it comes in looked at a few Berettas quality guns but 725 seemed to fit me better., he showed me a cynergy composite as well , looks good in the pictures but as soon as I saw one and held it, NO way I said lol
  11. I'm trying to decide on either a browning 725 sporter or a Beretta sv10 prevail 3 sporter , I will mainlly use it on sporting clays , any advise would be grateful or something very similar in the price bracket of 2k
  12. 2weeks seriously ,,, I'm only down the road in southport area it's 2week today I'm still waiting
  13. Yes I can see everyone's point of view now, a newbi like me should make sure a gun fits me and not to spend too much on my first gun and also to get expert tuition , as I've already shot 3 different makes of guns so far at my club and still average the same amount of hits!!! If you ave the money to buy a nice shotgun why not, hit or miss its only about 20p per shot, and as for tuition that's why you listen to your club mentors for advice, they may not be going to the Olympics but I'm sure they know what there on about it's all about enjoying the sport at the end of the day,
  14. Bloody hell that was quick, I sent mine on the 17th as well, got my letter through and they've cashed my cheque( merseyside police) that's all for now, fingers crossed
  15. I see what you mean about a shed load of cash but what's expensive to some is ok to others, if that makes any sense !
  16. Thanks all for the replies, I'm a person that want a great looking gun that stands out from the crowd, regardless if I can hit the clay or not , but I see all of your points, I did shoot about 20 years ago mainly field target rifles Daystates and Ripley rifles, I will shoot as many of my club members guns before I take any decision, by the way my mum thinks a shotgun cost £200.00
  17. Hi there I've only done a few weeks worth of clays, but many many years ago it was pistol and rifle shooting
