Browning do a thing like a 'half vest' consisting of two bags and a belt, which you sling around your waist. There are several bag things which require a belt and do the same job, but the best thing for decent weight distribution is a shooting vest, mesh for tropical weather and full cotton or a waterproof type clay jacket,  for when it is not blisteringly hot.

Forgot to say, buy where you can try, the current clothing sizes are a joke  !

That was the main reason i went into the shop today, im usualy a large in t-shirts, needed a XXL in the one i tried on lol

  2. Anyone recommend a skeet  vest that is reasonably priced? Been in local shop today all either beretta or browning for £60 upwards, don’t really want to spend that. But sick of filling my short pockets all the time.

  3. Sorry to jump the thread, for clays is there much difference in shooting 24g instead of 28g? When I did a lesson the other week we used 21g  and they where telling me that’s all you need, now I’ve started going out with my friends they all use 28s

  4. New to shooting and have no experience with the escorts but I went into forest lodge guns recently as im after buying a cheap semi, I was wanting to buy a escort as they are cheap new and they said the same as above they’d recommend a armsan a612 every time now for the same money. (They had both guns in so wasn’t just tryin to palm me off with stock either)

Why did you not exercise your legal rights and ask for a refund or replacement?

Having bought a gun to use it is not acceptable that you are left without the use of it for any length of time.

Didn’t really think anything of it to be honest, the Gun was fine but I went for my first lesson and the gun got a few rain drops on. Wiped it all off, not a problem. But few hours later all the marks appeared in the stock and wouldn’t come off. I only went back to the delaers with it to get some oil to take the marks out not to complain About But they said as it’s new he’d rather I let them send it back to GMK for them to look at and sort. Which was fine with me as I was off away. But now I want it back lol.

Who was the dealer and what was the fault ?

Derek lees. He was brilliant to be fair no complaints from me about them, they where the ones that said it’s not acceptable and wanted to return it. I was happy to get some oil to try get it off until they said that. Marks on the stock was the issue.

  6. I’ve recently done this myself, you fill a form in online after you make account but you still have to print the application off and post it with your photos.

I really would carry on tying to do it online.

To be fair it was a very quick turn around from start to finish, from the online application to getting my license was just under 5 weeks. 2 weeks of that was waiting for he doctors to reply to the medical check email from the police.

  7. Anybody had any experience with Gmk warranty work? Got a brand new gun 4 weeks ago, took it back to the dealer a few days later as there was a fault. He sent it back to GMK and not heard anything since, the dealer that is. Originally he said probably be 7-10 days. Today is 21 days. Is this normal time scale?

  8. I’ve got some moulder cens ear plugs got them a few years ago now but when I was out clay shooting last night they didn’t seem to be stopping much noise. It got to the point when I wasn’t shooting I was covering my ears by the end because I knew the bang wasn’t being reduced much. They still fit in properly and feel snug. There not the electronic ones, anybody else had this issue?

  9. Sure hel be fine, I went in with my shotgun to get some oil to take water marks off the stock and he was the one who said he’s sending back it’s not upto standard so I’m sure hel be fine with looking over the rifle.

Just take it back to your dealer and ask them to chrono it - why mess about? There is also a possibility that your friends S400 has crept over the limit - they have a habit of doing it.

I just wanted to see if it was normal first before I went in acting like I know what I’m on about to get shot down and told it’s fine lol. My shotgun has been sent back to Gmk by them so when I go collect it il take the air rifle back with me and just say I think it’s under powered can you test it.
