Please can any one help, looking for a second hand set of 30mm Blaser scope mounts.
  2. Let me start by saying I have had an open firearm certificate for 45+ years and have never had a land inspection yet. When my firearm cert was due for renewal and I got sent the forms from the firearms department, included was a constabulary headed form asking where I stalked the name of the landowner and his telephone number. I might add at this point that my chief firearms officer goes stalking. As this form was not relevant I put a line through it and send it back written across it, don't you think you have enough stalking already. The question I ask is do they have to inspect the land. If you shoot the land you should know if it is safe or not you probably have more experience than most FEO.
  3. This will be my sixth year going to Croatia to shoot Boar. I use an over/under 30.06 made by Fair (I think it is the same company as the Lincoln guns). It groups 2 shots 2 inches apart at 100 meters using Fedral 180 grain bullets. But with 150grain they are about5/6 inches apart. It is topped with a leopold 1.5-5x24 scope. and being an ejector is pretty quick to load. I supose I would favour a 30-06. Saw some one at the range yesterday using an under lever 45-70 and it shot pretty well, but he did say you have to be a bit carefull which bullets you use because the recoil could possibly set off a round in the magazine tube.
  4. Please can any one help about 20 years ago or more I bought a Roe sack made from very heavy weight canvas from a gun shop in Huntley Scotland and I can't remember the name of the shop. The problem is the leather lace for a better word that closes the bag and holds the shoulder straps together has broken I have been to my local shoe repairer and rang a saddler but they can't supply a lace long enough approx 100 ins. Please any help appreciated.
