  1. Was a bit of a long shot.... Thanks for input guys.
  2. My other half has now got her silver pig 20....... We are off to Durham in north east on Thursday to visit passport office and as she is desperate to use her gun for the first time, I wondered whether anybody knows of a clay ground up that direction..... .? Thanks.
  3. Thanks for that. Am fairly sure I was under it most of the time..... It did look so easy tho! Enjoyed the couple of rounds we had. Also talked to you, thanks for your advice. Will keep putting the word out re the shoot and hope it is a successful venture for you.
  4. Probably better to post this in the correct forum...... Went up to Greystoke today and shot it for the first time. I've been out of shooting for a few years now and am getting back into it..... So shot like a complete muppet. However, the setup was good and everybody was really friendly and encouraging. This place is really worth a visit and as it's a new shooting ground deserves a bit of support to help it develop. Chris was helpful when we talked to him about the possibility of lessons ( for myself, my other half and our young daughter), his wife was equally as encouraging, helpful and informative..... If anybody was there and can tell me how to shoot the second clay on the first station ( the one that followed the rabbit) I would be really happy to hear your views.... It looked so easy..... But......

  6. i got mine for just under 4k a year ago. love it so far. should have said.... 53 plate warrior.
  7. Will probably give it a go today! Can anybody tell me if I can buy cartridges at the venue?
  8. Hoping somebody on here can help me..... I have just put two spots on the front of my l200 (03 plate). I understand that the system is a switched earth principal and after digging about on the Internet I have managed to wire the lights direct to the system so I can have spots on with main beam and off with dipped. But... What I want to do is fit an internal switch so I can switch the spots off if I dont want them on with main beam. I tried this with a three terminal illuminated switch ( 'acc' 'power' and earth ) and all I have managed to do is blow three of the fancy cartridge type fuses on the lighting circuit! How can I get the system to work..... Thanks all.
  9. I have heard that there is a clay shoot on Sundays at Aglionby. Anybody been? If so, what is their layout like and was it worth the trip?
  10. Think I will give it a go then...... Bottle of whisky huh? Sounds like the place to be!
  11. Thanks may give it a go, you been before?
  12. For those in the know, when is the next shoot at Greystoke?
  13. I think I need to sharpen things up a bit and would like to have a few lessons with a qualified instructor. can anybody suggest somebody to go to in the Cumbria area... ? Thanks.
  14. As has been said, everybody has off days..... I have had days full of second shot kills.... And very few first shots, I can only put that down to thinking too hard about the first shot, making adjustments etc then taking a more 'instinctive' second shot.
