  8. Help please! I have an S310 here with a new uprated resevoir and I'm trying to refill from empty but it seems to be taking a long time and I thought a great big air cylinder would fill up the resevoir in a few seconds? I gave it a few seconds and then disconnected and tried a test fore but no pressure at all just a click? Any ideas please?
  9. I've also got a lovely condition Oxford Constabulary sword i wonder where the best place to sell that would be?
  10. Still sitting unused in my gun cabinet. £250??
  11. That's an idea! The're only 15 minutes away as well.............
  12. Well you're right. There wasn't a lot of "phlegmatic stability" going on that is true Thanks UK Poacher sounds like an idea.
  13. Having spent a bit of time looking at retriever sites maybe I'm not quite ready for a new dog yet, still getting a lump at the back of the throat looking at the images I'm afraid..............
  14. I did wonder about that - I've never had a dog from a puppy they've always been adult dogs
  15. Yes, that's a good question. I suppose i don't mean trained as much as "not bonkers". Just a calm temperament with minimal fear/aggression to other dogs/people really. I fostered a rescue Doberman/collie cross which i thought was a fantastic dog full of beans and clever as anything but for some reason he didn't seem to like women (kept pulling my wife off the lead and bit her as well) and was terrified of other dogs. He'd have been a great dog in time but the missus (understandably) was scared of him so that was no good. I guess if i'm honest I just want to minimise the "challenges" to begin with by starting off with a dog with as few issues as possible.
  16. Our dear old rescue collie/retriever cross died last year and we are now ready for another dog but although I've had rescue dogs all my life I think this time I'd just like a dog with no "issues" and have been looking on the internet for "trained dogs" but this dog won't do any sort of work there'll be a family pet. I don't suppose anyone has any recommendations of where to get one from - we're in Great Missenden in Bucks? Tim
  17. I'm going up to Scarborough tomorrow from Chesham so could call in the Kettering on the way up/down if it's still available? Tim
  18. I would really like this and I wonder if you would accept a trade in for it for a Baikal MP27EM-1C 12 gauge barely used with a horrible stiff action? Tim
  19. I wonder if you might accept an excellent condition Baikal MP27EM-1C 12 gaugein part exchange It's hardly been used but has a horrible stiff action
  20. Groan, I thought this was going to be easy - does anyone have any idea at all what a 1917 one of these is worth to see if it's worth all the running around?
  21. Please could anyone tell me where to look for the proof house deactivation marks??
  22. Tidying up I have decided to sell a deactivated 303 Enfield that's sat in my gun cabinet for about 25 years but i can't find the certificate although I remember it was from Birmingham, Does anyone know if it's possible to get copies as I don't think i can sell it without a certificate? Tim
  23. I went to a clay shooting ground and took a Hatsan semi-auto along which I think some people looked at a bit disapprovingly but I really enjoyed shooting it. Whenever I wasn't ready to shoot I kept the action open with a big red Benelli breech flag in and the gun point straight up but I still got the odd funny look and I wondered if I'd breached any etiquette? One thing which occurred to me on the way home which is probably a stupid question but it's how do you check a semi-auto, or a pump for that matter, for any barrel obstructions while out shooting?? A side by side or over under is easy to look down but not a pump or side by side?
