I agree with them in being careful as we all know this does happen from time to time.
But we also have to be careful of any false allegations being made and someone losing there ticket.
( x partner or neighbor or anti )

Just had my renewal for FAC/SHOTGUN one of the question's was why i have had so many medicals on my driving license.
Said because i was PSV driver . Oh OK

One guy went to a private Doctor to get his med cert completed .
The Doctor asked him if he could not shoot would he be depressed he answered yes to depression.
He as now lost his cert. Please all be so careful about the D word

Got to give Met credit sent my renewal in December for a joint FAC/ shotgun first one after five years.
Had a call last week from FAO asking a few questions and contacting my refs'
Had a time delay not from Met but one farm manager who took his time to reply to them.
Told no problems and new ticket should be here in three weeks So well done Met Police👍

Think they call it a humane dispatch shot
4 in heart/lung 100yd prone and 70y sticks/sitting then two head shots of stick or sitting that was last years test for me.

I may be wrong but do not think it is accepted and more cost than a DSC1 course.
Or just do home study online with BDS about ten pounds a month ( worth doing either way you choose and mock test online )and just sit the test .
Peter Jones completed is DSC1 ( as i have stated at 65yrs old and thick and never stalked before passed all at first attempt )
So any one can pass the shooting test was the hardest and a few failed so practice and use sticks for 70yard and the head shot.

Gun shops in the south east of England are having a lot of guns handed in as holders having enough.

Think this is yet another way of decreasing the number of license holders as so many now handing there tickets back.👍

Perhaps if we paid the armed forces a decent wage and a decent place to live and look after them after they leave the service.
I think more would join but they need to have better care.
Years ago a bunch of squaddies came through Gatwick as soon as they got on the bus .

Sure I read in BASC magazine they did some training in firearms with police forces and the MET police took part.
Seems this was a waste of time for BASC and the Met (sorry cant say about other forces )
Think every force needs a person with some shooting history behind them.

button I fully agree with you but as so many have said before me it does not pay to annoy them.
This is where BASC and other's need to challenge and defend there members and ask for one firearms policy for every police form to use.

Well done that man perhaps if we come across the same situation take a picture on you phone or any other device as your proof.
As shown someone will cause you trouble but who wants to see a creature suffer and show's we do care
