  1. I have a licence for six on my club lake as said could shoot that in an hour some days. Ive often thought of getting/making some decoys to get them within range. Only issue i can see is your only allowed to shoot them to stop them from coming in to feed so if your was caught decoying them they may take a dim view on that.

My wife and I have come to the agreement that I can only keep 50 guns inside the house!    So I only keep my favorites in the house. 😂 But she never said how many I can have in the barn!

Would you consider adopting a middle aged brit? I don't eat much and would work for ammo .

So if could fish from the opposite bank you would cast your bait under your feet ???

No of course you won't. You do exactly what you do when fishing the opposite bank.

    Lol 😆 🤣

if the opposite bank is overgrown with no path or access then fish hold up there.

... Is a shotgun cartridge (which doesn't require a licence to purchase an own) considered as ammunition in the eyes of UK law?

Have you tried to purchase cartridges a) with out your cert or b) someone else's cert and a signed cover letter? No gun shop i've ever been in would sell them to you. And a lot i think would not sell them to you with option b.

Have booked with Ian 👍🏻 going up late season as no chance earlier on but should be good crack

I'm up with him in October again can't wait. Just make sure you take plenty of shells with you as the gun shop in Montrose wanted £17 a box for RC50's (10 per box) i pay £6 a box in Essex.

My mate and I went up to Montrose Shooting Breaks for 5 years on the trot, and always shot the 1st week in November.

We always had good shooting and Ian Gill was great to deal with.

Have shot with Ian three years in a row always great sport. Ian is a top bloke & works hard to put you under the birds each morning.

The FEO also took my old certificate away and told me the new one should not be long in arriving. That was 2 weeks ago luckily I’ve enough cartridges to last for awhile. I’ve never had them take the old one away before

Essex are on fine form as visit was Monday certs dropped though the door this morning.

  8. My certs are due renewal in March, sent in my paper work via the Essex police web site in December. had a letter start of Feb to say certs had been extended by 28 days. So wasn't hopeful of a visit. Had a phone call last week to arrange a visit for today, turned up thirty min early all guns checked and done and dusted inside twenty mins. Should have certs back in a week. FEO took my certs with him as said they needed to be scanned on to their system then destroyed never had them do this before.

It's almost certainly against regs to run an oven from a 13A socket, whether fused or not. If it caused a fire, your insurance company would probably be reluctant to pay out on a claim.

A lot of single ovens come with a 13amp plug. If you need to cut plug off to wire into a spur must be a 13amp fused spur or the switch to isolate the spur must be a 13amp fused switch.
