    Just bought one of these scopes for £67 plus £8 postage total £75 in near mint condition bar the usual ring marks.

    Just wondering what people think of this particular scope and will it suit a .22lr I will be purchasing soon? And whether I paid around the right price for it.

  6. Young dog fox with the 12g

    Went out last night for a quick look for a couple rabbits, as pulling up to my permission a fox ran in front of my car. A slight change of plan I thought would go and stand under a tree in the middle of the field and squeak using my fox pro and see if the fox would return. Got there and tucked in with my mate and the lamp and started squeaking mainly looking in the direction of where I saw the fox, within 1 min from a completely different direction I saw something bolting across the field and one last squeak it turned directly for I got to with 12yds and I shot stopping it dead, gave it another just to be sure and that was it my first fox. What an adrenaline rush calling it in blind and it being there within a minute. One happy farmer and me very happy!

    Highly recommend Croatia, had my best holiday there! We went to Porec, had a day trip to Venice which you do from the harbour there. Eating out in the restaurants was extremely cheap and great food, but I believe it has joined the euro so I'm not sure how cheap it would be now. But I would definitely recommend a Croatian holiday beautiful country.

    Hi I am in the middle of getting all the paper work together for applying for my FAC and have a couple of question I'm hoping someone could help me with:

    The use of the rifles I am applying for is general pest control rabbits and foxes

    I am applying for a .17 HMR and a .22 LR, are these 2 guns sufficient or is it worth applying for a bigger rifle also like a .22 250, .220 swift or .223?

    And what amount of ammo should I apply for each calibre? Do I have to state expanding ammo or because its vermin control is that standard?

    Do I write moderators in a separate box on the forms to apply for them as well?

    I have also applied for a FAC 12g as well, is this easily granted or not worth the hassle.

    Any help appreciated and I am also based in Cardiff whiling to travel if anyone would like or needs a buddy when out shooting as I would like to gain more experience.

  20. New Beretta A300 Outlander or S/H AL391 what's the best option?

    Not sure if this is in the right section:

    Hi all, I am looking at buying my first semi auto, I've decided I want a beretta because I have a 682 gold e now and have read nearly all good reviews about beretta's.

    I would like some opinions on whether to go for a new Beretta a300 outlander or a s/h al391 at a similar price to the new gun.

    I would use the gun as a hide gun, and a just a general gun for most things. Does anyone have the outlander and if they get on with it or whether the al391 is a much better gun?

    Hi, I'm just trying to get back into decoying and wondering what cartridges to use.

    I know cartridges aren't cheap but I would like to buy some which are good enough to kill pigeons and rooks for decent price. Also any advice on different shot and load size welcomed.

    I am also searching for permissions to do such decoying in the South Wales area any help with this would be great thanks.

    I am based in Cardiff willing to travel a bit to get a day or 2 shooting, been shooting for quite a while but not often at all. Just started looking for permissions around the South Wales no luck so far. If you get this message contact me and I'm keen to come along and do some decoying.
