6 months wait to clear land in Kent

No Fortune, this a new permission, but quite a big land owner that may lead to more permissions and maybe even some paid work. -

I totally agree, this new permission is quite large, there are fields I would use a .243 on and some I would not as I don't consider it to be safe with out a fox box or high seat. We make those decisions with every shoot we take, safety is paramount, so why do the police need to try and control everything we do. Lawfully authority and good reason should be good enough. -

It's North Kent, my point is the attitude of the FEO, as I said before in this thread, he is providing a public service and should be more professional. -

I asked the Met to clear a piece of land in Kent, I know it's cleared for up to .243 but want to be sure. (Met) It's in Kent you need to ask them, ok I said, (Kent), you need to ask Met as their your certificate issuers. (Met) You need to talk to your FEO, phoned him Friday no answer left a mesg, phoned Monday no answer left a message, phoned Tuesday no answer left a message? I have a .243, DSC1 and stalking permission elsewhere, Your opinion :( shall I just wait, or I'm I being too inpatient? -

Unbelievable!!! I would be on to the chief constable asking why it has taken so long, they are performing a public service after all, that as tax payers we pay for. -

I use BASC for insurance and advice, and the fact most people have heard of them when trying to gain permissions, but I think you're right about them having zero influence. -

I've only had a FAC for a 2 months, what's my chances I wonder? Although I've been shooting air-rifle for 10 years and FAC in the field for three, I don't think being a member of NRA and shooting fullbore at Bisley helps in anyway either. -

A good OS 25:1 map might be better, at least it would show public rights of way, and the topography layout. But better than waiting months for an answer I agree. -

Government guidelines stipulate asking local shooters and gamekeepers for advice if it's marginal, clearly not done here. Fail. Annoying really. -
Well that's what I was told, I was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this long a wait?
-
I wish mine still looked like that :( but even my beat up old one looks better then the new Pulser lol had a little play at the shooting show cheap at £1800 pound though lol
-
How far does no.6 shot travel at around 45 degrees???

Snap :) -
Nothing like being direct, I take your point, but I have been asking advice from people more experienced than myself I case it was my fault and I'd done something wrong. I was in touch with the Gunshop yesterday and again today asking their advice, it's been documented by myself and the Gunshop and we (both not just them) have decided that I will continue to monitor the gun to see if it happens again. If it does I have time and dates to prove it happened, what I don't want to happen is Brownings send it back to me saying there's nothing wrong with it. I agree
-
I agree, just a quick question, do the ejectors have something to do with cocking the gun? Totally unhelpful, but I did laugh
-
Took it over the farm last night, pulled the trigger Nothing!!! Took the cartridges out, pulled the trigger again click, moved the barrel selector pulled the trigger again, click, put the cartridges back in, pulled the trigger, nothing!!! Pointed it in a safe direction kept pulling pulling the trigger, bang!!! Next 50 rounds worked faultlessly. Hmmmmm
-
I could make a fortune repairing stuff lol
-
Will do :)
-
You won't believe this!!!!! Just took it out of the safe and it's working both barrels??? Wasn't working when I put it in there last night19 hours later it's working, taking over the farm in a minute and try it out. ***? Finger crossed

I knew that was coming

I was told to by a friend, mind you he hasn't shot a shotgun for 30 years, so I'm blaming him anyway for getting me in this mess I might get a free breakfast out of it
-
Maybe that's why he was so unimpressed talking to me
-
Ok thanks for all your help guys I appreciate it, phoned up Brownings service department today asking for some technical advice, might as well been talking to a brick wall, bloody hopeless, so it's going back time the gunshop Wednesday to see if they can fix it then back to Brownings for repair if they can't. I'll let you know how I get on Keith
-
How does the gun reset the firing pins, do you know?
-
I'm not going to muck about with it as you say it would make my guarantee void, besides I wouldn't know where to start looking :-)
