  1. Got myself a hatsan....now looking forward to using it!
  2. Hi guys, Thanks for all your help...a hot topic! I'm definatly going to get one, so appreciate all of your help...so mossy oak or black? 24,26 or 28??? Shops only seem to have the 28 in stock...yet everyone is talking about the 24/26...mainly going to be used in the hide...so what do we think?
  3. ok....so does range/grouping change....or just easier in the hide?
  4. no slightly confused.....£70 plus chance....?
  5. oh ok....so what length have you all gone for? Presumed 28 would be the normal choice?
  6. Hi guys, Thinking of getting a Hatsan semi. I've got a Winchester, however looking at the Hatsan for pigeons and especially when it's wet/bad weather/muddy etc... Looking at the budget end as I spent about £1,500 on the Winchester... Thoughts on these guns.... Steve.
  7. Thanks guys, I must admit when I first saw it, it seemed to tick all the boxes off what I had been looking for. Plus I'm 6'2, so can be hard to find a stool/chair that doesn't make me sit hunched over! And must admit a swivel chairs would have made life easier in the past.... Looks like I'll be investing in one then! Thanks again for your help. Steve.
  8. Hi guys, looking for a new chair. I like the fact that this one has adjustable legs as I can be found in my hide in a ditch, so would be useful! Also looking do a chair with a back...but how strong is the back...really..? Can you lean back in to it, being plastic, does it not want to twist or feel like it is going to break? Just got to justify double the cost of a "normal" chair... Steve.
  9. I've just bought 2 sets to try from argos...Nikon action 7-15x35cf with zoom £100, and Celestron Upclose 10-30x50 with zoom £65. Both look good, and from my experience Nikon has very good lenses...and good build quality Hoping to try them both over the next few days....I do like the zoom funtion....which opens up the applications of use.... Its like anything...look at the base model, and then the "what if's" start...and for only a bit more money I can have..... I'd rather have quality, but (not saying their not) the £35 ones on the other post have interested me, especially if people have found there good.....
  10. Thanks everyone for helping me out, spoke to Andy at AA, and due to the confussion over what I wanted he's sending me a 17ah with free postage, so very happy he's been understanding. I'll definatly be buying from him again, and can only recommend.
  11. Hi, I just put them in a re-sealable freezer bag (large food bag that you put your sarnies in!). Works for me, with no casulties....
  12. New to shotguns and pigeons, but the difference from the last couple of weeks was that today there was a lot more smaller groups...i was shooting from 3pm-6.30pm today.
  13. I use it at the rear of the pattern, usually on my side....work's a treat for me...... makes it look like a bird joining the group...which is what the real ones are doing...
  14. Thanks, I did keep reading that...farmer and gamekeeper are both happy...think they thought I was getting fed up...not the case...just determind!!!!!
  15. yea, i did see, how long does the 12ah roughly last? Yep, did that, good tip...
  16. Cheer's mate....just wish i got all the others I shot at!!!...maybe next time...?? Put a lot of time into reading up (esp off of here), and studying the ground/flight lines etc...so really pleased.
  17. Cheer's guys, spoke to Andy on Saturday, going to help me out. Steve
  18. Got my first double today, 12!!!.... and in only 3 hour's shooting...Well happy, only been getting 1's and 2's the last few times out in a full day(new to this shotgun lark!!!). Found a good flight line, so all is good!
  19. Must admit, used it the other day...very good...no difference to the more "expensive" version... Plus Andy is very helpful.
  20. Hi everyone, firstly I'm new on here, read lots of posts which have been a great help, so thank you. I've recently obtained a very large permission...now just need to draw in these pigeons!!! I've recently bought a flapper and rotary from AA decoy, all arrived ok, and look well built, so very happy. Only problem is that Andy at AA said the 7ah battery would last a whole day on the rotary...but I only got a good 3-4 hours of "speed"? It was windy (Thurday last week) and cold. Now I know these both can affect batteries, or the draw etc, but should have I expected more run time? The 7ah battery for the flapper was fine, which is no suprise. What size batteries do you guys use for a days shooting on the rotary and flapper? Thanks, Steve.
