  1. Our lab, Ringo, has hit 6 months old now. Got all the basics sorted like sit, heel and recall. I know hes still young but ive been easing into some basic retrieves lately, he sits and waits steady, is keen to go and pick up but instead of bringing the dummy to me he comes right back but then decides to go off course last minute and start farting around and walking around me. Whats the best way to nip this in the bud before it gets out of hand?
  2. This is Ringo my red lab, hes 10 weeks old. Only had him a few hours but hes really settled
  3. Here's Ringo, my new red lab pup who's 10 weeks old. Over the moon with him, hes only been here for a few hours and its as if hes lived here for weeks
  4. After finding this thread: http://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=112042&start=15 It appears that the optima plus do infact fit in the mobil barrels as is seen in the 5th post on that page but they dont sit flush, they look like extended chokes and obviously arent designed for the bore of the mobil barrels. Good job i only used the mobil choke in the gun on sunday
  5. Its probably just me having a blonde moment lol. These are what i have, the ones marked optima plus are on the right
  6. Bought a used urika 1 at the weekend from a local delear. Great condition and came with the hard case, manual and 4 chokes. Heres the confusing part, the manual is for the xtrema 2 and states it uses optima plus chokes. I have 3 that are marked optima plus in full, improved modified and cylinder. Now theres also what looks like a mobil choke in improved modified, this is going off beretta choke comparison pics on google, and judging by those pictures the optima plus is identical to the mobil apart from the flush optima tubes arent really flush fitting. All the chokes fit the barrel, does anyone know if the optima plus and mobil are interchangable?
  7. Ok cheers cook, i'll stick to the 18gr as recipe. Thanks again
  8. thanks for all the info, its a big help as theres so much to learn with reloading. would you suggest running them through a chrono to see how they perform in my gun then?
  9. Thanks cookoff, im waiting on an order of AS at the minute as i was being a tight **** and trying to save a bit! But if titewad is as good as you say then i may try that next. I was only looking to load a few shells with a bigger shot size to keep as a 'just incase' shell. If i was to load a few 32g with bb shot im guessing i would struggle loading them into the 2.75 cases right? BB, i'll have a look at those if you wouldnt mind.
  10. So i christened the new mossy hushpower at the weekend, next on the list is loading some decent shells! I've read through the searched threads and have decided to try one of cookoffs 32g #4 vectan as loads. I have a question for anyone who loads 12g subs... is there any data knocking about for any heavier loads where i could up shot size a bit incase i bump into mr fox? I understand vectan as is on its limit at 32g so would i be looking at a1 possibly?
