  1. Try Franco Beretta or Bettinsoli in Italy . You may have to buy minimum quantities ,as all of us that did sleeving  had to do . Those that have sleeving tubes will be very reluctant to let them go as they are loosing a job .Those that have some that they will sell are probobly tubes they dont want to use themselves .

  2. Without knowing your height , build ,overall physical condition ,the sort of shooting and how much you intend to do it is very difficult if not near impossible to make anything but the vaguest of recommendations .

There is a huge choice of guns and people will tend to suggest guns they favour . To say one gun fits better than another is misleading as they do not know you .

Having done a lot of gun fitting I have seen too many novice shooters sold the wrong gun or have bought the wrong gun believing it is correct .Its difficult .

Personally I would in general suggest a basic game/field model 28" ,if multi choked fit the 1/4 & 1/2 then lock the rest away till you can shoot the gun well , stick to one brand and load of cartridge until you feel confident . Take a few lessons with a competent shooting coach , then and only then can you make a sensible decision as to whether you need a different gun and take your time in looking around and deciding .

Do not be swayed by magazine articles and people trying to sell you something , telling you that you need this length barrels , these coloured chokes etc.etc.etc.

  3. Very hard to tell .I have vague memories of seeing a stock with similar carving some years ago on a B25 Note sure about the gold initials

So is it an up grade or was it an original custom gun .Browning's did make some guns that did not fall into any exact grade norms so I would guess this was made i

As you are in Belgium I would suggest you contact Paul Pletsus ( not sure of spelling )  or Jan Bliki or if near Maastricht then Rolofe Lucas any of these would be to Tell you exactly

New to the forum but scouring the internet for help with my Aguirre y Aranzabal side by side, single trigger, double barrel set (20/28g). Specific model I believe is either a 117 or 51. I'll reach out to AyA that I saw in another post to try and get more specifics (pictured below.)

I fell in love with this gun over the last season and unfortunately was out with my dogs and did realize that the right lock plate had popped off until it was too late! Anyone know of where I can source the parts for this. AYA in Spain is
    a) impossible to get a hold of and even their #1 importers in New England are saying they are struggling
    b) going to cost just as much as the gun did to send to Spain to get fixed.

I've reached out to a ton of resources and nothing has been promising yet, Althought I still have a list of people I haven't been able to get ahold of yet.

I think my best option is to find someone with the same gun that is just using it for parts who hasn't had the same issue and isn't missing the part I need - but this seems impossible.

My next best bet is finding another 7pin right lock plate (the only one I have found that might work $1500) that is the same size or bigger that can be filed down to fit mine ($500+) Still getting pretty expensive, since this doesn't include finding someone who will take on this project.

    Thoughts?!

I cant open your link .But . It should be possible to obtain a lock from Spain in the white ,but the amount of work to fit and finish it then engrave it , would almost certainly outstrip the guns value . Finding another gun that can be canalised could be a solution but finding one of the correct age and engraving pattern may be next to impossible .

Returning the gun To AyA in Spain would  be  an uneconomic proposition.

Sorry  to say it but  unless you can get some detectorist/s to go out and look for it tracing your path ( A reward may induce a few takers ) I think you have to face the fact you now have a scrap gun .

    Insurance ?

  5. Can depend on the dent ,its depth and whether its a sharp dent or a dished dent . The age , specific wood and the finish can all have effects .

Steaming is your first option .

I bought a Escort Bullpup shotgun 5 months ago and have yet to get it to work. First time I took it out it wouldn't fire. Dunams spots would not give me my money back so they sent it in. Took 2 months to get it back. Took it out to shot it again. This time the shot shell would get caught by the bolt sticking out 90 degrees to the gun. Sent it back again. This time it took 3 months. Got it back a took it out to shot again. Not fixed same problem. Does anyone know how to fix it because the factory doesn't.

It will not have been sent back to " the factory" .It may have been sent back to the importer who will have sent it to some one to look at it ,but thats all .The cost of shipping would be prohibitive . Some years ago I did warrantee work for an importer of some  Turkish made guns .There was an on going  problem for which I suggested the guns should be returned to the makers .I as told it was cheaper to replace the guns and scrap the rest rather than sending them back .

At this stage you should be demanding a replacement gun or a full refund .Please remember the dealer is a middle man but he should be on your side and expediate the matter asap.

  7. First off its not an ejector its an extractor gun . Yes if you open the action with enough force then it may throw the case clear .

If its been boxed up since new then the wood could have " moved "as in  swollen or shrunk .If it needs easing off then its not a big job as with the stock which probobly needs the stock bolt pulling up .

Using it without these things correcting could lead to future problems .

When you have a gun for sale, is it legal for a RFD who wants to purchase your shotgun to instruct Parcel Force / Royal Mail to collect weapon from you at your home, send you a copy of their RFD certificate and wire you the funds?

Not saying this is the case but I would check out the RFD to make sure he is legitimate .There are a few  " part time working from home " RFD's who dont always follow the letter of the law .

  9. I mis read the original post .I read it as wanting to convert from S1 to S2 .NOT S2 to S1.

Thanks @Gunman the tube won’t be crimped.
Adding heat to break the seal on the original tube is the only part that concerns me; I mean how much is too much? Just a suck and see process I imagine.
Yes, I think mate received a rollicking because the rozzers don’t like to think it’s common knowledge that it’s more than possible as a DIY job, otherwise every Tom **** and Harry would be doing it. 🤷‍♂️
As you can quite legally buy all the parts online, it’s a distinct possibility!
    Thanks again.

Mis read the post as  S2 to S1 not S2to S1

why does a section 1 mag tube need securing/fixing in place at all like a crimped section 2?

if it's section 1 there are no restrictions for it being able to hold 1 shell or a 100.

so what difference does it make if you can change the confirmation easily?

mine has the option for instance of holding 1, 5 or 9 depending on how it's configured.

Sorry mis read the post as S1 to S2 .

  10. A replacement mag tube must be securely fixed with a suitable adhesive  . A crimped tube would need to be certificated by the proof house to satisfy most authorities .

Doing yourself providing the original mag tube can be removed without doing damage is a possibility . But please remember you are dealing with Police Firearm's officers who are not always the most receptive or sensible of people .

  11. Look to be very similar to the Doctor red dot .Have fitted these to double rifles and a colleague on the continent said he was taking scopes off and fitting these .

They are great for moving game such a boar , esspesially if your eye sight is like mine , you see the sight or you see the target, depending on your glasses .

I se no reason what so ever to fit one to a shotgun unless you are shooting solid slugs, apart from a method of parting money from people who would be better served spending it with a good instructor and gun fitting .

    Hi gang.

Just watching the Beretta factory on Youtube and they make 1200 guns every day. Plus all the other gun makers.

Where do all the guns go ?.

Take into account all the military / police/ production , pistols as well as shotguns .Those made under the Beretta name and those made under other names ,Franchi  for example and the numbers add up .

  13. Any that fits you .Its  all down to the shooter .The greats like Percy Stanbury ( I've handled his gun) and Joe Wheatear shot with 28" , no multi chokes , adjustable combs stick on high ribs ,florescent bead sights or other gadgets .No need for beavertail forends or pistol grips unless thats what you like .

Just buy a gun in as good original condition as you can find that you like .

Only one point I would make, is that a gun chambered for 2&3/4" will be an advantage , being easier to get cartridges at a clay ground

  14. Where to start ! This is based on the American Miller Trigger system .

Taking that the sears are engaging correctly and that the pulls are sufficiently heavy .Then check >

1 Loose stock or plate pins .

2 Dirt , only needs a little to cause problems .

3 Loose worn axel and pins/screws are tight

4 the wire spring may be loose or has lost tension .

5 Rough edges on sear ends or the pendulum ( the bit that moves side to side )

6 There is sufficient clearance between the sear ends .

7 that the change over button is working correctly

8 The trigger is coming fully forward after it has been pulled .

When you have eliminated all of these you can then start looking for other causes !

It's eye dominance. I never thought I had it until I did my coaching course and then I found out why I was seeing what you do. Seek a good gun coach who really understands eye dominance. Like Anne Litchfield who does the Lantra coaching courses. Too many weekend ticket experts out there. See someone who has been doing it over a number of years.

    Agree .
