That's fair enough but just starting out obviously I want it to be simple ish. I don't mind weighing the shot and powder etc but with a machine made for steel and lead I think will be best to start with.

I'll give you a ring tomoz Alex and ill have a chat..so are we all in agreement to buy a mec if I want to load steel..

Jim, sounds good..like I say I shoot clay (lead) and game (steel)..was wanting to reload my own 12g carts in both..need to know best machine to make carts, shot powder etc

Yes that's spot on pest control (name please)..im using express 32 g #4 in steel shot. Seem to be doing well with them so to produce something along those lines would be good. Cheers brett

Oh I get you. Like I say I shoot a more steel than lead so will be loading more of that than lead.. Has anybody got a starter kit going cheap so I can dip my wick so to speak before going all in..want to make sure it's for me before committing Cheers

Pest control..what's the difference between a load all and single stage etc..also where is it best to buy shot, wads and primers from etc.. Also I shoot some steel as the chap I shoot with sells the bird bit they have to be steel shot..is it more or less expensive to home load steel.. Thanks

As above. Lee load all wanted with basic start up gear for loading 12g shotgun cartridges. Located in Derby, will travel sensible distance. Pm with details. Thanks brett

Hi all. Looking for some advice/help. I shoot 12g rough and clays and I love the idea of home loading and making my own cartridges. Having recently purchased a daystate huntsman I can't recommend them enough. It is so so accurate, I know it is a bit more money but I prefered it. To me the hw100 as good as it is was a bit too bulky for me,the huntsman is so light and comfortable. Happy picking and let us know which one you go for. Atb
