  1. Hi All, I wondered where those of you who are lucky enough to get your hands on an old Spanish side-by-side would get your firing pins from? The gun was fired empty and the pin broke. Any tips will be readily received and acted on!!! Many Ta's Craig
  2. Thanks Gents, I'll get someone to have a look at the gun club too. Looks like the replacement magazine could be an option as it is definitely oiled and clean. Cheers again, Craig
  3. Hi All, I have a Benelli SuperNova pump (and really enjoy the challenge of it at the sporting grounds where I can use it instead of my B725 Black, but I have noticed a bit of a 'problem'. Loading a cartridge into the chamber is the easiest I have ever found. Drop and pump forward and it is in! Loading the gun with the other cartridges, however, does have a slight problem sometimes. The red plug sometimes gets stuck and makes it difficult to load the cartridge. I have to poke it back down the tube slightly and then retry. Not ideal. It is a 2014 model, but I live miles away from where I bought it. I know I could get in contact with them and they would sort it out through the warrantee, but I wondered if there was something I could do at home to sort this, or if there was something blindingly obvious that I have missed. I gave it a douse with gun oil and it seemed to help a bit but soon got jammed again the next time I took it out. All helpful comments well received. Craig
  4. Hi Wabbitbosher, Is this still up for sale? Cheers Craig
  5. Thanks guys, I've updated a bit on my profile, but a fair bit has disappeared since I last logged on.... I'll get photos etc. up there when I find one that makes me look pretty. Thanks for moving this too! Craig
  6. Hi All, I am looking to get out on the pigeons at this pest-ridden time. I am Insured with the CPSA, hold a valid licence (obviously) and have a 4x4....but it is a Murano, I am based in Bedfordshire (Dunstable) and can certainly get around if needs be. Anyone looking to show me a foot in the door will be very much appreciated. Thanks, Craig
  7. I can vouch for this gun, it is a fantastic piece of kit for the money. My daughters are a bit young (2 and 5), but otherwise I would have had this in an instant!
  8. Can you PM me if you hear of anyone else up for joining here please as I am keen! The two member shoots and free lesson are your money back straight away at this price, so I've got my monies ready. Cheers gents. Craig
  9. I've been saving with the intention of buying a B525. My SGC took ages to come in so I accidentally saved a bit more than I had hoped and the B725 came into being a possibility. After trying both, I loved them. I definitely felt a difference with the B725 (both 30") and ended up with a B725 Black. It definitely feels thinner than the B525 although not as thin as the Barettas. I won't be changing anytime soon, I know I have made the right choice. Also the other half will be using it so something thinner, slightly better balanced and with a decent recoil pad all works in our favour. Guns are subjective things, it has to be right for you, but the rate the B725s were selling (particularly the Black), I wouldn't necessarily call the launch a flop. Craig
  10. Thanks Lee, certainly will do! This is the great thing about these forums because the two shoots you have hi lighted to me haven't come up on any of the websites I have looked through! Even a Google search for 'Clay Shoots Near Dunstable' didn't bring up Dunstable Gun Club! Time to change to Yahoo I think.... Thanks again, Craig
  11. Thanks Killshott, I live in Dunstable, so that's definitely doable, thank you! I may well see you there. I'll pop you a message on here if I am going. Are there any more any closer, same kind of setup? I think I have seen one at Maulden, near Clophill. Hopefully that won't clash!! Thanks again, Craig
  12. Hi All, I'm new(isn) to clay pigeon shooting after catching the bug from visiting Birmingham and joining in with my other half's stepdad and his neighbour. It is their fault I have been through the SGC application, spent a load of money on a gun and am looking to join in with a load of strangers for a good couple of hours on a Sunday to try and control the local population of clay pigeons. So, local, that's the point. I'm struggling to find anywhere to shoot that is close and not an extortionately priced venue.......I'm sure there are threads about this already somewhere. I live in South Beds, have transport and am looking to join a shoot around here on a Sunday. Has anyone got any top tips, preferences or ideas as to where would be the best for me? I'm mostly looking for a bit of banter, a safe and fun place to shoot and someone who will push a button for me (I struggle with the time delay a bit at the bigger shooting grounds). Anyway, thank you for reading my first post here, I'm sure it won't be my last, and if there is a specific thread I have managed to miss, please put a link on here and I will have a good look. Thanks again, Craig
