  6. M2tyj Could you pm me please, would be interested in a lesson at Fennes. Cheers
  7. Visited Fennes today guys, was really impressed. Very busy but only had to wait a few minutes if you couldn't walk straight onto a stand. The car park was really busy, had a look around Essex gun shop while we waited for a space too. Some nice stands especially for beginners. Shot well, loved down the line targets the best. Cheers
  8. Thanks for all the replies guys. We needed up getting a Beretta 686 special from Essex gun. We had an amazing day over at Fennes on the clays today. Can not wait to go again. Addicted might be the word. Thanks for all the advise, really appreciated.
  9. Really appreciate the advise guys. As said it's for my dad so will make sure the good advise is passed on. M2tyj the gun in the link looks great. Will take him to have a look at it tomorrow. Cheers
  10. Hi guys, my dad has a budget of £1000 to spend on a second hand o/u 12 guage shotgun 30" which he will use only for clays. Were based in Essex. Any links to gun trader ect welcomed. Thanks in advanced.
  11. If the above somehow falls through, ill take this. Thanks
  12. Only one here. Beretta 686 Special Fixed choke 12 guage 30"
  13. Thanks for all the suggestions, ill have a look what my local store readily stocks and progress from there. Cheers
  14. Sound advise mate, suppose boxes of 25 mean you can try a wide variety then chose the one that suits best. Cheers Thanks mate, Ill try the game bore velocity 28g 7.5 in fibre to start with. Hopefully going shooting on Saturday so let you know how i get on. Cheers
  15. Thanks James and Gaordon thats great.. Any preference on fibre or plastic or just depends what your ground allows? Also does that cartridge only come in 28gram 7.5? Cheers
  16. Hi James, sorry i forgot to mention i have a Beretta 686 12 gauge. Thanks for the link ill check it out now. Cheers The cartridges come in boxes of 50 is that correct? How much you looking to pay on average for that cartage in the link? Cheers
  17. Hi guys, a neewbie here. Anybody recommend me a good cartridge for clays please… All the details i would need to tell the guy in the shop. Do you need to show your licence to buy them too? I know this is probably very broad and boring but thanks in advanced.…
  18. Thanks Theo, see you at the weekend.
  19. That very Miroku has been held by myself last week. Nothing wrong with the gun, felt great but unable to test the gun on site so looked else where.
  20. The main attraction to the gun is its local, in my price range, and looks in decent condition from the pictures. The gun will only be used for clays. "Don't Just buy it cos its a Beretta" - This is also another reason i think I'm attracted to it, good quality and reliable for a neewbie? I am viewing the gun this week, as i have been advised very important to check the connections and barrels are straight also that it fits. I am being allowed to shoot the gun on viewing. Any advise or tips very welcomed. Thanks so much...
  21. I have not seen the gun in person so can't really comment and to be fair I'm not really educated enough to tell the difference. The more i think about it the better it is to buy from a shop? Always thought the older Beretta's were better made with higher quality woods?
  22. The chokes are 1/4 and 1/2. Cheers
  23. Hi im in Chelmsford. Fennes is only 30 mins away, worth checking out then? Would be my first visit to a ground, could you recommend a quieter day so we don't hold anybody up? Cheers
  24. Thanks for all the replies guys. The guy wants £625 for the gun, again fixed chokes in 28" barrel does not come with no case. I think thats a fair price if in decent condition. Not bad for a first gun. Cheers
