Watched it a few times now and it's very informative and steel has come a long way. It just goes to show steel kills very well its normally the person pulling the trigger that's at fault but it's easier for them to blame the cartridge rather than admit to there own flaws.

Point taken
I enjoyed reading your post so please keep up the write ups.
I was just stating that the majority of fowlers (well the ones I know of) are really secretive about there exploits and rarely ever talk about there flights.
Apologies if I came across a little blunt that wasn't my intention.

Nice write up. Very few true wildfowlers around with the dedication and patience to flight geese under the moon on the foreshore! Well done on a very successful flight! Best wishes for 2024!
Nah don't agree 99% of fowlers just get on with it and don't bother broadcasting it

Saw someone on a loading forum saying they will have it available in the Autumn at about £30/kilo so wondered what it was. I am guessing some sort of Bismuth but will follow up.
Me personally don't think it's worth it because of the price of it and they are stating a b65 4 is the equivalent to a steel 3 so not much difference, also B65 is 29.99 a kg and for less than that you can buy 5kg of steel. Fair play to the lad for trying it out though each to there own but for me it's a no

Hi Roughshooter, I know this is a bit of a late response to the post above but I thought I would give it a try. Would you still happen to have any 8 bore load data you would be willing to share? I am getting into the reloading process for my G.E. Lewis and would appreciate the info.
Best regards,
Cory

My passat done the same had it in 2 different garages they couldn't find the issue so I got rid (2007 with 140,000) in part ex for a newer car and the passat is still local to me so I asked the bloke who now has it and he said he traced it to the radio so got another radio off ebay and problem solved.

Buy a keela belay special forces jacket you won't regret it. Mines on its 5th year now and still not let a drop of water in even when caked in mud. Every now and then I treat it to the hosepipe to get said mud off it and its never been reproofed.
