2s and bbs are fantastic, for duck and goose, there are decent wads available and loads of resources and experience.
For general no nonsense loads, and with alliant steel powder. It is obvious to use 36g steel loads in 3" . Thats where it starts getting good. 36g BB and #2 in steel is pretty decent shot count, and at even 1400-1450 still a very viable and effective option.
Got about 600 of those loaded up in 2s and bs but been having great success with the 30 gram load out to 50 yards or so but they are loaded with ssb 150 and doing 1410fps

Been having great success with 30gram of either 2s or bs and pulled out some cracking duck n geese

Is that plug to put extra weight in the stock? Too much and it could make the muzzle flip too much.
I got 2 to stick in smilers barrels to stop him shooting more geese than me😂😂

Any advice on whats a decent range finder it will be used on moving objects so a cheapy probably won't cut the mustard.

It's only money and 10 bore carts ain't much cheaper off the shelf either so not to bad really

Nice one Jim well done. Subsequently I've had some of my most memorable flights when it's been calm and glorious sunshine you know the days where you have to talk yourself into going and then boom the magic happens. The joys of fowling.

What's the point of scattering geese that are obviously doing no harm on a stubble

3D printed adapter to allow you to reload 12 bore 3.5" and high brass standard size cartridges on the Lee Loadall.
Comprises of 3 parts:
De-priming pin (just slips over your existing pin its magnetic to stay in place)
Sleeve that fits over the resizing ring to allow full length resizing.
Shim that fits under the resize ring to remove it.
Wad guide will have to be placed manually on each cartridge to insert wad
Does not alter your Lee Loadall you can go back to reloading standard size cartridges in minutes.

I am not sure you are correct there regarding the Humber club, which BTW is Humber clubs, there are a minimum of six, possibly eight, shooting the large area over which consent was refused. I would be extremely surprised if overall wildfowling committee did not do its utmost to provide NE with the data they required.
Apologies for missing the s off club as I'm fully aware it's more than one club but the feedback I'm getting through proper channels is that they weren't forthcoming with N. E. requests but the thing that gets my back up is why ain't basc using the fighting fund to fight the morecambe Bay clubs corner too even though they have complied with N. E. requests season upon season as a matter of course with no objections

Mine have just been delivered will Give um a whirl later

the likelihood is that if they win the battle on the Humber the same argument will then have a precedent and be used elsewhere.
Two totally different situations from what I'm told the humber club point blank refused to comply with bag returns etc to N.E. But the Morecambe bay club have always complied but this year they were late for some reason.

Got hold of an old AYA No3 'Magnum', which I fancy using on the foreshore this season, just for a change. Barrels are marked '1200 bar' which seems like quite high pressure, although not sure if this is what they are tested to, or a working pressure? Ideally would like to use the gun with 3" high pressure steel, but from memory they require 1300 odd proofing. Obviously no fleur de lis marking given the age of the gun.
Anyone know the score here? Obviously not hugely keen on blowing my barrels up!
I shoot hp steel through my no3 and no plenty of other people that do too so whether you do or not is your decision.

But no mention whatsoever of the club on morecambe Bay that also lost its contents

I had the gumleaf vikings they lasted a couple of seasons were comfy but decided not to get another pair as thought they would of lasted a lot longer

What loads you use? Was it a kicks xtra full?
I picked up some 3 1/2” gamebore steel - 42g BB’s yesterday.
Kicks was full and I put all my home loads through it from 36g 2s up to 42g bbbs.
Affinity or SX4?

I went with the intention of either getting the franchi or sx4 and came away with the sx3 as it felt and looked a more well built bit of kit. That was 2 years ago and the sx3 has been faultless I can't complain about it.
