  1. Not FAC .177 , 16J / 11.8/ FT/Lbs . Done , x2 more coming over end of October beginning of November , for two guys in North a Kent , one in .22.
  2. Yes I did try it , it was one heck of an eye opener , made even better by it being owned by , and shown by a game keeper who knew how to get the best out of it. Woodies were no problem , a rabbit at about 35 yards , talk about wrong place wrong time , two squirrels chasing each other in a tree , bang bang , both fell to the floor ,without one of them having time to react , the gamekeeper saying see there is no way you can do that with a standard air rifle , as a tool for his work he said it has made most of his air rifles redundant , he can dispose of rats around the farm building much more efficiently. Even though he's only had it for just over a week , he's already thinking of getting a second .
  3. That's the point . It is. It has. One arrived in Bedfordshire today . I'm using one in East Sussex this Saturday coming . Have one on order should be here With me next week , depending on the dealer in Germany getting one from Steyr , imported into this country all legal above board , door to door delivery.
  4. Blimey just joined the forum , as I was looking to get a replacement for my hunting rifle , I'm using a ISP Airstream Mk3 in a custom stock at the moment and my Steyr Hunting 5 , that I can't get repaired in the UK , as I bought it while I was abroad in the forces. So I was looking at the Hunting 5 Auto . Know one is keen on brining them in , mainly because importers are to frighten that some one is going to run amuck with one . Thing is they are legal to import into the country no problem. I asked the legal department of BASC yesterday funny enough , yep totally legal no problem , just make sure it is UK legal 12Ft/Lbs , otherwise customs will have it crushed. Just to make sure I asked my local fire arms office , they said In there opinion , this is not a dangerous weapon , as long as It is UK legal go ahead they do not have a problem with it , they would not confiscate it , and would not charge any one who had one , but they then asked to contact your actual local fire arms officer , as he would have the most up to date info , as some info took time to filter down at HQ , contact with him was good , he looked at the Steyr company info , watched a few company videos and some other video of the rifle in action. Came back saying that he also saw no problem with this rifle , not a dangerous weapon , not an auto , would not charge or confiscate. go ahead and bring one if you want. There is more on Pimpmyairgun forum about this. As for price , I have looked , and waiting for people to get back to me from the EU , but door to door it looks like this will be between €1550 and €1720 , that's Euro , yep still a load of wonga , up there with a top end Daystate for sure. They are in the UK , I'm going to try one out with a farmer in East Sussex on Saturday , he recons it's the best tool that he has for grey squirrel , rats , pidgin , and bunny bashing .
