  2. Relisting this because I've reduced the price and added my contacr details which I forgot to do......Good tight gun, good bores, very nicely figured walnut stock with silver oval and anson and deeley forend, some engraving. A Brecon gunmaker, the name on the rib isn't legible although the word "Brecon" is, most likely a Birmingham made gun circa 1920? I've posted the ad under Midland as there is no option for unknown english gunmaker but it's safe to assume that it was a Birmingham made gun. 26" sleeved barrels in proof, for 2.5" cartridges. Ideal as a woodcock gun. Has a slight cast to the left. Bargain price for an English sidelock, very much doubt you'll find another english sidelock at this price. Legitimate shotgun certificate holders only. please email: andrewrob7@hotmail.co.uk
  3. Hello, sorry, I only just picked up your message....I'm in Glastonbury, Somerset
  4. thanks for all your help, I'll keep trying to make contact with them
  5. Ah, hadn't thought of that! Will investigate, thanks for the reply OK, thanks for that-strange that they haven't answered any emails /phone calls tho-maybe as tightchoke suggested it's simply that I paid money to a scam site
  6. Was wondering if anyone could throw any light on this? I recently placed an ad with Guntrader and I was unaware that apparently they're currently in the process of liquidation as I've been out of the country for a while and heard nothing about their present troubles. The ad doesn't appear in a viewable form and despite frequent emails and calls to Guntrader, have just been met by total silence. My question is, wouldn't it be fraudulent to accept any money for a service once a business is already in process of liquidation?

  8. I received these emails in reply to an ad which I placed on guntrader for an old Belgian sidelock. The first one I thought was quite plausible and I replied to it. It was the second one which set alarm bells ringing and it was thanks to other contributors on pigeon watch that I realised that this scammer was still at it.........So, be warned!! 1.Thanks for your mail and am satisfy with the add and the listed price. i am a Navy (USNR -VS-82, NAS Alameda, VS-82.), I'm buying this for my friend as a surprise gift, i'm willing to offer you the amount you required. 9. Thanks Steve-not so sure it'll sell that soon actually. I've reduced the price to £295 and won't go any lower than that but things just don't seem to sell that easily these days. You're right though about these guns though, I've previously owned a Stevens and a Winchester and this is superior in pretty much every way Andrew
  10. I've reduced the price of this for a quicker sale-this a good gun for the money
  11. Tthanks Impala, I'll have a try with that tomorrow
  12. Hello, thanks for letting me know yes, you're most likely right and its origins were in Brum. I'll try and add this info to the listing. Someone told me that even som Belgian made guns were stamped with the name of British makers / vendors-don't know how true that is though
  13. I'd really like to put this on the pump guns forums but I seem to have limited access to the various forums. Not sure why, as I've sold a number of guns through pigeon watch over the years. Any suggestions?
  14. Hello, it's restricted to 3 shots and only a SGC is necessary (I think that makes it S2 from memory, but will check this)
  15. I have tried to amend the price on this listing but it doesn't seem that I've been successful. This is about the hardest to navigate website I've ever run across
  16. Actually it's even less now-I've reduced it to £225 for a quick sale because I need the space, and no it doesnt include delivery to RFD! This is a bargain and you're welcome to view any time you're in Somerset (you may need a boat by then though)
  17. Hello, is this still for sale? regards Andrew
