I bought a box of Magtech brass 410 cases for about £12, to get over the primer problem I machined them to take standard shotgun primers. Standard 410 fibre wads can be a bit on the small side and you have to fit an overshot wadd to hold it all together. (but do not do what I did) I melted candle wax to seal the end, however it caught fore, spilt on my hand and set it on fire causing 30% burns. I think i will use a little decorators caulk in the future The cartridges however work very well. Mike

I believe they are not choked, I looked at one but opted for the Baikal because it was better quality and cheaper. I was very dissapointed with the killing power of subsonic cartridges (although quiet) and the super sonic cartridges are no quieter than in an un moderated gun Regards Mike

Thanks for the feedback gents, Will post a pic tomorrow. -
Just been out for the first time with my Armi Sport .45" calibre smoothbore kentucky shotgun. I fired half a dozen shots using 24 grains of Black powder and 10g or 1/3rd ounce of shot. What a lot of fun, a crack immediately followed by a Boom! wait for the smoke to clear to see if I hit the target. I had a couple of misfires which I put down to the percussion caps due to them being a little large for the nipple. 1218 top hat caps on a 4.7mm dia nipple. I would welcome any advice on alternative loads. What a smelly dirty hobby, but I love it. Regards Mike

I am now getting quite excited, what about shooting a lead ball at targets, is this allowed? Mike
