  20. Dakers I hear what you say. I have been posting event notices about the Redbournbury shoots, which are held every second Saturday, for about 18 months. I have given full details, I have advised about muddy conditions after heavy rain, I have advised about the best access. If you come from the Redbourn to St Albans road there are two wide fords to cross. If you approach from Beesonend Lane off of the Harpenden to St Albans Road there is only the corner of one ford to cross. All I have received for my efforts are comments like "I don't want to shoot in a bog!" and "I wouldn't drive my car through a ford". To date I don't believe one extra shooter has actually turned up as a result of my efforts. But I keep plugging away, ever hopeful. Readers now get the bare minimum. They can scan the previous posts for more details. If they are interested, they'll find us. Regards Martin
  21. Sian I have spoken to the website administrator, who was aware of access difficulties, especially when people use phones or tablets. It is planned to change the website provider to improve access and make interaction with the site easier. Regards Martin
  22. 60 bird shoot. £15 for the first round, £12 for a second. Tea/coffee on the ticket. Starts 12:30, last ticket 16:00. Site is best accessed via Beesonend Lane off of the Harpenden to St Albans Road. Follow the Fishery and Shoot signs. Receive a warm welcome and experience a challenging shoot. Ideal practice for your game seasons.
  23. Sian Indeed it does and I have passed that on to the owner. Regards Martin
  24. Sian OK thanks for that. I will speak to the owner and the person who manages the website. I'm not sure about the postcode you have given because the site has no mains electric, water or postal delivery. That might be for the nearby farm. That is where Google Maps used to point to but that was corrected. It all needs to be right so that prospective shooters can find the site. There is nothing worse than getting people interested only for them not to be able to find the shoot. Beesonend Lane is correct, off of the Harpenden to St Albans road. Follow it for about a mile down to the ford/river. Turn right and follow the track to the end. Regards Martin
