  1. TIME TO START PRACTISING FOR THE NEW GAME SEASON The shoot on Saturday 16/09/17 was attended by over 20 paying guns. Some new faces. There were many positive comments about the welcome and the shoot layout/targets. We have started to see some later arrivals, which is good. It helps to spread out the guns across the ground and reduce waiting time on the stands. £16 for a 60 bird Sporting Clay shoot. £13 for a second round. SGC required. NOTE: Fibre wad cartridges only, max shot size 7. Rio 28g 8s are available for £4:50 / box of 25. Shoot starts at 12:30, currently last ticket is 16:00. There are 6 Stands offering a variety of targets, using Standard, Midi, Rabbit and Battue clays and are shaped by the features of the scenic ground. Tea and coffee on the ticket. Full English Breakfast Bowls, Bacon rolls, Doughnuts, Chocoate are available for purchase. Ample parking. WC. The sight is best approached from the Harpenden to St Albans Road (A1081) via Beesonend Lane. Follow the Brown Fishery and Black and White Shoot signs down the lane for 1 mile. At the ford turn right and continue along the lane to the site. The short length of ford to drive through is only inches deep. The fishermen that come to the site never have any problems. 13/14 days the site functions as a day ticket fishery for Trout (Lake 1 and R.Ver) and Mixed Coarse Fishery (Lake 2). Want to try fly fishing for trout or coarse fishing for carp, tench, chub, bream, perch, roach and rudd? Taster sessions can be arranged. See the newly updated Redbournbury Fishery and Sporting Clay website and our Facebook page.

  5. This gun is still for sale. Open to close offer.
  6. Went Friday, thought signage to the event was very poor. I know some of the area but getting to a junction on the A1000 there was no sign saying which way to go. I went left towards the House entrance, I should have gone right for entrance going to car park. Had a walk along the massively long line of food stalls then Gunmakers Row. My mate parted with £450+ for a pair of Cens Digital ear plugs. We had a look at the Clay Line then took the long trek back to the cars for our guns. Shot the Sporting Clays, £30 for 50 birds!!!! Even the BASC run Have a Go was £12 for 10 clays (Adult) £10 for Juniors. C'mon now! Are they trying to attract new shooters or show just how expensive things can be? Thought the burgers, tea/coffee and Danish pastries were reasonably priced, compared with somewhere like Wembley. Long walk back and away by 4pm, only a small queue to get out onto the A1000. Some idiots driving at speed against the flow when we were driving out.
  7. The shoot on Saturday 22/07/17 was only attended by 16 paying guns. Many regulars were missing but there were a few new faces to welcome. There were many positive comments about the shoot layout/targets, despite the weather. Talking to the guns at Park Street on Sunday, a number said they intended to come to the next shoot at Redbournbury. £16 for a 60 bird Sporting Clay shoot. £12 for a second round. SGC required. 11. Please note this gun is a Left Hander and it ejects to the Left. I managed to edit my original advert in Gun Watch but it hasn't carried through to the Pigeonwatch post.
  12. NorfolkAYA You are quite right my friend. It ejects to the left. That's what happens when you write an advert without the said gun in front of you. I will try to edit the Gun Watch advert. Martin Done.

EBay no longer lets you say As New. So it could be used but had very little use.
  20. You are right, that's why I thought I would post on here.
  21. Looking for a Hushpower 20g Over and Under. Not interested in Single Barrel or Pump Action.
  22. Sadly only 16 guns turned up for the Easter Saturday shoot. Many of the regulars were obviously on holiday or tied up with family over the W/E. Of those that did shoot, again many said they enjoyed the stands and like how the format changes for each shoot. 60 bird shoot £15, £12 for a second round. Fibre wad cartridges 70mm Size 8 for sale, £4;50 a box/25. Last card 16:00, please ring if you want to shoot late. John Dunckley (the Owner) 07774 197411 Tea and coffee on the ticket. Follow the Brown fishery signs and the Black and White Clay Shoot signs, 1 mile to the ford, turn right and follow the track to the site. Sorry no Postcode for your Sat Nav. See the Redbournbury Fishery and Sporting Clays sites on the Internet and Facebook.
  23. The "address" is Redbournbury Fishery and Sporting Clay Ground, Beesonend Lane, Harpenden. There is no electric, water or postal service to the ground, so there is no Postcode for your Sat Nav. There is a website and Facebook page under the same address. The directions I have given will get you to the ground. Have a look on the website or FB maps, or look on Streetmap UK (search for Beesonend Lane). Thanks for your interest, hope to see you at the next shoot, don't forget to bring your mates. Regards, Martin
