  1. Think you've just hit the nail on the head there. Cheers Edd!
  2. Hi Guys... I entered my very first shooting competition this weekend and loved it!!! Oakedge Shooting Ground held a "3 Shot Challenge" specifically for Autos and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Managed to bag a top 10 finish which I'm very pleased about considering I used a borrowed Semi and I'd never shot one before and was alsp my first competition. So now, as you can imagine, I want to up my game and compete in COMPAK and at Game Fairs. I understand there is a CPSA British Open Sporting this upcoming weekend at Garlands and a few of us are heading down to watch, But I'd love to head down and compete in this one, But how do I go about it? Do I need to be CPSA Registered? What is CPSA? Why do I need it? Can I shoot competitively without being a CPSA Member? It's all confusing to me, I just want to turn up and shoot.. How difficult can it be? P.S, If anyone knows to any Competition shoots where I can just turn up, Get booked in and Shoot.... Let me know!!!
  3. Hi Guys, My shotgun cabinet is currently kept at my dads house as my mom disagrees with me having one in our home for some stupid reason. I'm off for an early shoot next week and wont be able to get my gun from the cabinet at such time. So... Is there any legal ways I can keep the gun at my home away from the cabinet over night? Broken into 2 and kept close to my bed over night, maybe? Any help is great, cheers.
  4. That's something I've been thinking about. But like many other things, I'm completely oblivious. I'll have a read on here, Surely there's the information I need somewhere.
  5. Yeah, Tell me about it. I've even got to the stage now of writing letters to ask as knocking doors and asking around is slowly ******* me off Best chance of me getting out is someone taking me along on one of their days.
  6. Hi Guys and Girls. I fully understand this is a risky topic to bring up as permission for free land is usually earned through trust. For months and Months now I've been searching for some local Farm land to Pigeon Shoot on. I've been places with friends but they're no longer accepting any more shooters. I'm a keen shooter with a decent shot and I go Clay Shooting 2/3 times a week but I'm looking for land for a peaceful evening/weekend shoot when I just want to unwind from a week at work. Is there anyone from around Walsall area that's willing to let me tag along and show/prove my enthusiasm to the sport rather than me sounding like a desperate lad who just wants to "Kill some birds on an evening"? Cheers, TheLurchmeister *If this post is in the wrong forum, please feel free to move to more allocated position*
  7. Holy Cow! That's some good shooting! Would love myself some farm land to shoot on in the midlands. But it's just so difficult to get permission now.
  8. Hi All, New to the forum. I've been into my clay shooting for almost 18 months now and only until this week have I managed to get my hands on my very own licence and shotgun, HAPPY DAYS! I managed to get myself an "Investarm Model 100" given to me by my Stepmom as this is the gun I've been shooting from the beginning. Old looking Folding shotgun, But I find it fits me like a dream. I'm 27 from Wednesbury in the Black Country and was told to sign up on here by my Dad as he believes this Forum is the place to be for everything shooting. So here I am, Introducing myself in hopes that this place helps me out with what I wish to do with my shotgun hobby in the future. I have founded my own shotgun team with my dad as a simple muck about between a bunch of friends. But we're beginning to be known at our local Clay Ground, Millride Country Sports, for our Black Powder Muzzle Loaders. We hold charity days and Have-A-Go days for everyone to come fire these guns and to help spread the enjoyment of Trap Shooting. If anyone is on Facebook(Which stands a chance, most of you are) and have a few minutes spare, Please feel free to check us out! http://www.facebook.com/blackcountryclaybosters That's pretty much it from me, for now, or maybe until I realise I've missed something out... haha Cheers for having me and I look forward to topping up on some information I didn't know about because of this Forum.
