Hahahhahah I might try this because turning away doesn't work I mean my pup is only about 18 weeks old but he is on point with recall and heal and sitting when I stop and finding the birds and bringing them back (to my feet ) I guess I might be rushing him along but I just want to get all the faults from him while he is young but at the end of the day I think I need to let him be a puppy too , thanks for everyone's input tho !!

Hey guys little help I'm finding that my lab has discovered a bad habit of dropping the bird at my feet farther than letting me take it from his mouth ? Any tips

I'm sure they would get of the pond if I put a shell up ? And there is a local duck shoot not even half a mile away if I could find out what days they shoot I bet I would get Agee circling then ?

The farmer is not bothered I have spoke to him and its united utilities treatment lake I think so aslong as I'm not shooting towards it in fine doing everything by the book , they can't stop me shooting what wild foul is in the sky over the permission surly

Hey guys just got some new permission and it backs onto a massive lake /pond but that's someone else land so I can't feed the pond but what would be the best way to keep the duck there and don't make sure I over shoot ? Any tips because I obviously can't feed like I say or decoy ? Thanks guys

I can yeah but it depends what farm I go on , every farm I go on round hear I have to shoot differently and it just all depends what's about sometimes I just focus on rabbits or rats if the pigeon shooting is slow

I have shot guns and air rifles , do quite allot of ratting at nights and do pigeon in the day , and I'm in Warrington , lowton , I might try abit of roost shooting on a new permission I have I don't know how it would be tho one night in the week ?

I'm not expecting big bags all the time like I said in the title just one would be nice going to try and spread the net then too might be worh a try

So your saying once you shoot more than 20 birds you would stop shooting and say I have shot enough , I can see the birds depending on quality , I also freeze some for myself and my partner and also freeze whole ones to train my dog sometimes depending on how many , I just mean it would be nice to have at least one good day ? I would far from say I'm shooting for wrong reasons

If anyone knows even any good paid days this area I would be interested or if anyone wanted to buddy up and exchange permissions for a day to show how they would shoot the permission I have ect

Well the main one I go is about 35 ish give or take and then I have about 4 or 5 other places I can go too but just seem to struggle and north west Warrington way

Yeah that's true but I would be good for my young pup he must just think he is on a walk sometimes coming home with nothing, I am swear that's how it goes at times but seen as I have been regally shooting over three years and 23 is the most I have ever had
