  1. What steel shells are you guys using on the foreshore ,ive been looking at solway steel and gamebore ,also what size 1 or 3
  2. Thanks ill try ,ive been looking down the barrel , probably stopping .I know you cant look at something two foot in front of you and something at forty yards away at the same time .lol
  3. Hi guys i shoot swing through, have done all my life .Been shooting forty odd years and do quit well .Ive been trying to shoot pull away on some long clay targets but not getting anywhere fast.Do you still concentrate on the clay with your eyes like swing through .I keep wanting to look down the barrel to put it on the caly then pull away. Not working im afraid
  4. Kirkcaldy , never tried 3 inch steel always went for 3 1/2 as my sbe2 is 3 1/2
  5. Anyone know where i can get 3 1/2 inch cartridges in scotland apart from gamebore and express. They are for the foreshore so must be steel
  6. Terror are finished now and very hard to get ,i was looking at the patternmaster ?
  7. ANYONE ANY INFO ON GOOD CHOKE FOR STEEL LONG RANGE GEESE / FORESHORE
  8. I had a t8 silencer on mine .big but superb, like firing an air rifle
  9. Got 500 feeding on clover all week ,anybody decoyed this
  10. A lot of guys on here shoot with full choke at pigeons ,have any of you patterned your gun with certain shells through full . When you look at the constriction of a full choke and 32 grams of lead going through it at high speed you would think a lot of the pellets would be crushed and end up as fliers .Personally i use half at the moment but was thinking of trying full for some of the calmer days when they are really high. Im using black gold 32 gram plastic wad and rc sipe 32 gram plastic wad
  11. I got the rc sipes yesterday they are in green cases ,anybody had them in this colour?
  12. Anyone used the above shell ? I was thinking of buying some to try normally shoot black gold.
  13. Yes the gun was shooting high because the comb was too high
  14. I went to my local gunsmith and he made a shim and plate for me , it now shoots bang on where im looking . The c shim they supply doesnt move the comb down very much .Trying to get a d shim and plate was impossible . Why do these companies not issue the full set of shims ? MONEY probably the answer to that one when they know the gun shoots so high there will be a market for the shim that doesnt come supplied with a £2000 gun. Thanks guys for all your help, hit some cracking pigeons with it today stewart
  15. I take it the bear tooths are ok ,do they mount against your jacket ok ,in other words do they not snag the material
  16. Where it says stock too short ,comb too high is exactly where 90% of the pattern is .It will be the stock length im sure certainly not my head. Thanks guys will let you know. Where will i get stock shims for a benelli you can just pull the butt pad off it clicks in???? ,not screwed
  17. I can hit twenty three at skeet with it but when i put half choke or tighter for game and wildfowl its like 10/90 % on pattern plate
  18. I thought about lengthening the stock 10 mm as it feels just a tad short ,what will this do to my point of aim ,ive had conflicting replies from facebook some say high some say it will lower it. Ive made up a 10mm carboard butt pad and sellotaped it on lol going to try it tomorrow. Factory benelli sbe2,s come with a 25mm butt pad but they do one in 35mm,,,,,,,,,,,, £90 ouch
  19. Hi anybody patterned their benelli sbe2 ,i did the other day and was surprised to find it was almost missing the centre circle at 20 yards ,i dropped the stock with the supplied shim and its lowered it a bit but still a tad high for my liking. Spoke to benelli the answer i got was its meant to fire slightly high so you can see what your firing at by aiming slightly below the bird you can see it at all times. I never see my barrel anyway when shooting how would i not see the bird?
  20. cheers guys will strip it and clean
  21. Yes was thinking this myself but i drop the cartridge in and push the button seems to go in with a good thump, although i normally have the gun tilted on its side when i do this but shouldn't think this would effect it .It is split new i should maybe bang some heavies through it first
  22. Just bought a new gun above and sometimes when i load it and pull the trigger for the first shot it just clicks and the cartridge in the tube underneath pops back under the breach, any ideas , ive alos fired a shot and the two cartridges in the tube both come back and jam under neath , im using 2 3/4 inch cartridges
  23. Ive not patterned it yet but will let you know when i do ,cheers .I put it in wildfowling because its really a wildfowling choke
