  1. Tried a chiropractor yet? Personally rate them highly.

a dr will give u some pills and slap you on the **** before pointing u to thr door. A physio although good will often treat the symptoms.

in my experience a chiropractor will get down to the nuts and bolts if it all and sort it out.

Thinking of trying this next. Tried an oestiopath a few years back but that was no help and cost a fortune in the process. So thought I'd try the physio but that's proved next to useless so far.
  2. Hi guys, I'm just after a bit of advice really.

Basically I've been going to see the hospital physio regarding my bad back for the last few weeks, anyway today when I told him it was no better after doing the exercises he gave me to do he told me he was going to prescribe me something.

Anyway when he came back he had a prescription for Amitriptyline. He described them as a muscle relaxant and that it would help ease the pain although I may feel slightly drowsy for a day or 2. Ok i thought, I'll give them a try.

Anyway the wife was reading the paper on the box just now and it turns out they are used as an anti depressant.

I haven't taken any but I was wondering if I did would they show up on my medical records when renewing my shotgun certificate as me having had anti depressants? Even though that isn't why I was prescribed them?

  3. For the bremain trolls on here you must understand that the folk depicted on that poster are NOT our problem. They may be of concern, they may make you pity them, but they are not our problem. You may want to do something to support them, and I congratulate you on your humanity, so feel free to go over and bring a family back. Just make sure YOU house them, support them, feed them, educate them and pay for any medical needs.

Don't ask me for any help, and certainly don't offer any money, healthcare or education on my behalf because you're then stealing from me and my family.

STOP GIVING MY FAMILIES FUTURE AWAY, it's not yours to give

We really need a 'like' button on this forum. Couldn't agree with this more!
  4. The special care units are absolutely fantastic.

Our little boy spent some time on there when he was born and you are at their mercy but they explain everything to you and really put your mind at rest.

All the best to you all, he is in the best place possible and you'll be back at home with him before you know it.

  5. Hereford hoslital is scandalous, somehow the hospital car park is privately owned so none of the charges ever go back to the NHS. 3.50 per hour but even if you are over an hour by 5 minutes you have to stump up for a whole 2 hours.

When we had our 2nd son recently the wife had to stay in for 5 days and the parking costs to go and see her every day were crippling.

I'd happily pay the charge if even just a certain percentage went back into the system but it doesnt.

Even the staff have to pay full whack, thats if they can even get a space.

  6. Hi, my name is Dan and I live on the Herefordshire/Glocestershire border and work on a 750 acre arable farm growing mainly winter wheat, rape, rye grass and a few acres of spring crops.

I'm 30 and live with my wife and we have 2 boys, a 3 year old and a 3 month old (hence why I'm awake at 4am)

I've always been into shooting and have had air rifles since I was a kid, and shotguns since I was 20ish.

I grew up helping my grandad who was the gamekeeper on a large estate so that's where my enthusiasm for shooting comes from.

I'm lucky enough to have as much shooting and ferreting as I like on the farm, although time is my biggest problem having 2 young children. I can go out lamping on the quad and get up to 40 rabbits in just over an hour and they just seem to keep coming back!

Pigeons seem to have been the biggest problem this year on the rape though.

Anyway that's me, hope to learn a bit more from you guys and hope I can add something to the forum, and when I work out how, I'll put some pictures up.

    All the best, Dan.
