Can you put steel through it

Last time something went for my dog that was on the lead it's got a swift kick to the head and it didn't come back for a second go. Even if I had my gun on me I'd ward an attacking dog off with a swift use of the mark 1 boot but with that said if I had something that looked like it could do some real damage coming at me I wouldn't be firing warning shots.

Will I need to heat it up first so the oil starts to come out?

One of my s/s must of been over oiled buy the previous owner because oil seeps out of it just behind the action on hot days and it is slightly darker in colour than the rest of the stock. Is there anyway I can coax the oil out of the wood?

Is bolts out a legal requirement or just good practice?

I'm looking at getting my FAC. I was thinking about just getting another 4 gun cabinet instead of buying something like a 9 gun if I have two separate cabinets can I just store my rifle ammo on the floor of the shotgun cabinet?

Not overly smart just like jeans, shirt and a tweed jacket. You just want to give the impression that you're smart and tidy and don't look like the person that's going to leave gash and spent ammo everywhere. Also if they say know ask them if they know any other farmers that need help

Cheers mate i normally go clay shooting on a Sunday with the Mrs getting about 12/25 on the sporting but I'm working on skeet at the moment as I've been told it's a good way to build skill, which ground do you shoot at?
