State pension is paid 4 weekly, and the day depends on the last two digits of your N.I. number. I get paid on a Wednesday.
Mine is paid weekly (Mondays). I was given the choice when I first retired.
Had a letter this week from the "tax man" saying that my new code is "K****" which means, they want some tax paying. Peter gives you a bit more money and Paul takes it away.

Correct. You don't want them dripping with "stuff."

PM sent.

I watched it.....well, tried to. However, I did catch the last few minutes. It was very obvious that he wasn't going to put his hand into that box, for a random question. Did anyone ask about "the boats," I nodded off for most of it?

Don't worry Labour will stop them, they will grant them all citizenship, and send some ferries to collect them.
We already do don't we?!? We just call them life-boats.

I have a Shotkam.
Sending you a PM.

This made me smile. What is stopping the EU having one army - not the UK. If it is such a brilliant idea, why isn't it happening?
As for sneering at Biden and Trump - well, the UK has world class leaders - Truss, Sunak, Blair, Brown, Milliband, Corbyn, Johnson, Starmer, plus back up deputies like Rayner, Abbott et al.
Much as some sneer at Trump, the USA fared better under his leadership.
At least Trump tries to do what he says, like build a wall at the borders. Unlike our lot. "Stop the boats.".....yeah right.

Yep, sure did. Even an oxo chicken stock cube. Probably just my taste buds. Finished it off for yesterday's lunch (with madras powder in) and it was good.

let us know how you get on
Easy to prep, cooks nicely, smells really good while cooking and doesn't look too shabby on the plate. However, I found the whole dish bland. Adding some salt and pepper on the plate helped a bit but still not great. I ate half of it because I hate waste and I was hungry. To the leftovers I've added some madras curry powder, to fester over night and will finish it off for lunch today. May be that my tastes are jaded after years of abuse.
It reminds me of those tea infusion thingys......smells really nice but tastes insipid.
After all of the above, I WILL try it again (as it's easy) but next time I'll try some 'erbs and spices.

could use tinned butter beans ?
Nope, don't like those either. Going to try it with 3 thighs (cos I'm a pig) and (KTC) chick peas. But whatever used, it looks to be a good "one pot meal."

when i lived in the dark continant...my cook Abdu used to do this for me at least once/week and it was bloody georgeous.....no spices....herbs...oil ...fat
just 5 ingredients
- tin of beans
- 1/2 tin copped toms
- one onion
- chicken stock cube
- 2 chick thighs
my tummy went....waheeyyyy..............very easy to digest and it dosnt make you feel bloated and it does you good...
Think I may try that but with one change.........don't like kidney beans. Substitute red kids for black beans, or maybe (drained) baked beans.
-
How about, a Miroku MK38 trap 32" but it's a lefty. Just change over your stock.
-
Is it my laptop or are those beans(?) white?!?
-
Can you (one) date a battery?
-
I had one of those. It's now in the cupboard next to the sandwich maker, filter coffee thing, nespreso coffee thing, bread maker, a toaster that cooks beans as well etc. The only thing that I've tried and still use is the air-fryer.

245 and 245 are both the same width. It's 45 and 40 that's different which is the profile/ depth making the fronts slightly larger diameter to the rears.

There is an element of "that's close enough" at some of these garages.
The best way to check it is to put your car registration into the Blackcircles website and that will tell you what they should be
They did this to me, quite a few years ago, when I had a "Fronty." It was okay for the drive home when I left the garage/fitters, but the next day when I went into 4 wheel drive....it was undrivable. Took it back for a refund, but, (surprise suprise) they managed to find 4 the same.

Leftover spuds and veg fried up. Fry in butter and let it catch, so as to get the tasty burnt bits. Plus, cold meat/s and pickles.

You can buy and mix your own in Morrisons salad bar. Rice, potatoe, pasta, etc.
-
I know it's "each to their own" but what makes you have one in the first place, do you think they look nice?
Do they hurt?

Also I need 0-30 and the Halfords price for that is £62 for 4 litres plus two separate one litre cans at £15 each.
Wow, that's a good deal then. A bit like the one I saw in Morrisons. Chickens £3.50 each or two for £8.

I used to live on a boat a few years ago. Before setting off, I asked my FLO this question. He said that provided the gun was made secure, it wouldn't be a problem. BUT, I would need to notify the local police, if I stayed in different counties for any length of time.......so I didn't bother and gave up my SGC until I returned back to land.
