It appears you are looking for an argument and it is you that won't let it go.An admin quite rightly advised you not to turn this thread into another police bashing thread because you made a comment on the police and their response times, this was not in tune with the subject matter of the Royal Mail.

You could have taken the advice on board but instead you chose to argue the point, and then told an admin to grow up for doing the job they give their free time to do.

Then let it drop, again its you boys dragging it up. A harmless comment and you jump in without thinking. Let it drop. It was already buried, down, gone, forgotten.

The admin have a difficult job to do trying to keep many threads on point, they do not deserve to be told to "grow up" while doing this job.

Maybe, but as I pointed out, he brought it up, after it was buried. He had no need to. The job of moderators is not to cause arguments or look for one. I was quite happy for it to buried and have made no further comments on this or looked to have an argument. Why did he feel the need to provoke things. Quite simple, let it it die.

I’m not backing down, I just don’t see how bringing police response times into a thread about first class post isn’t trying to derail a thread?

Derail or a humorous comment. You're looking for an argument.

  3. There's an industrial town known for it's steel production. It's South of the Humber Bridge and West of Brigg that can't be named on here due to the filter.

Isn't that a bit much Mr Moderators?

S****horpe is an acceptable British name.

I’m not getting into an argument about this but YOU brought police response times into a thread about first class mail delivery times.

    Lets leave it there

But YOU  brought it up again and now you're backing down because you're wrong in dragging it up.  Grow up.

I don't have a semi auto but keep saying that I'll try this place,it's an hour at the most from me.is it bradfield side?

Yes it's above Bradfield, worth the drive just for the views.

Be warned though, it has its own micro climate, it can be sunny in the valley and 2 foot of snow on the top. Make sure you have a top coat and some gloves.😁

Please do not turn this into another police bashing thread.

This has nothing to do with police response times!

    :shaun:

I haven't and I never said it was, I merely commented as I'm entitled too. Take that as you want. You're the one brought it up. If its too close to the truth, your problem not mine.

  8. Sycamore is hosting its first semi auto day since its change of ownership and management earlier this year. Saturday 18th Nov.

I was sent this clip from I think Facebook

Richard sets some interesting and difficult clays on a normal Sunday so this will be something differant especially if he puts in triples.

The ground now has foot pedals for solo shooters and is £15 for a 50 bird Sunday shoot. No idea yet what he's charging for the semi day.

Thanks for completing the survey. I think it helps to share experiences - many on PW have yet to respond to the survey and will be reading these posts. May I ask what were the key points you made in your response to the current HSE consultation? Did you make general comments and/or did you answer any of the specific questions? Would you consider encouraging everyone you shoot with to complete the survey response form?

Many like me, may have completed the survey, asked others if they have heard about it but not found it necessary to take up space by posting. It takes as long as it takes to type your response.

I'm fully aware that steel is going to be forced upon us regardless of our opinions, however I'm concerned that smaller calibres like .410 & .22 will dissappear as will clay shooting eventually.

This is the first step in stopping shooting forever or making it just for the rich.

How long before we can wall hang all shotguns as obsolete?

  10. Thanks, my mistake, much as I love different types of guns, I hadn't realised it was a semi.

I'm looking for an OU, lightweight. Took a while to find a Beretta Ultralight that suits, now, having found a near perfect gun(for me), unfortunately it's no longer made and not steel proofed.

I can't make my mind up about its replacement by Beretta the Ultraleggero as it has printed plastic side plates fitted and I'm yet to see one in the "flesh". I'm definitely a try before you buy guy, but like to listen to all recommendations.

You forgot the other option, give up shooting, which many will do.

Why should any lead projectile be exempt if that is your argument, ban all lead shot , bullets ect, then we can see a mass exodus from many shooting sports, as there will be no viable ammunition available, or it will be illegal to use.

In fishing when lead was "banned" weights of above 1oz and No 8 shot and below(in size) where not included, nor was any lead in sea fishing banned.

It was, like now, designed for the other option, give up.

Instead the thinking angler used groups of No 8s together. Lead in shot sizes 8 to 12 is still bought/sold and legally used.

I'm waiting for someone who thinks in a different way to tell us the way round the ban.

Owned 114 cars, including a couple of Cosworths. Built a couple of quick kit cars, but my favourite has to be a 1970 Morris 1800 - known as the Land Crab. No slouch, big, comfy and a pleasure to drive. Built my own hydrolastic pump to maintain ride height.

I had two, and a Maxi, tremendous cars. Always wanted the Austin 3 litre but never made it.

Had one of my HGV1 drivers pull up to the line on a traffic light controlled crossing, he didn’t see the old man stumble and fall directly in front of him, as he was too close to the crossing, lights changed and the old man was crushed to death.

The driver never recovered from the incident and never got behind the wheel again.

Always give yourself full view of the crossing…

Which is why proximity mirrors became standard and a compulsory retro fit.  No mirror, no test pass.
